Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – No Laptop, No Rules

Aditya reached into his backpack instinctively — but it was dead. His laptop, the one tool that had kept him alive in the neon world, was useless. A faint smoke rose from the battery; the display flickered and went black.

"No… not now," he muttered, panic rising for the first time. The digital systems, Algorithmic Arts, and code shields — all gone. Only the magical forest surrounded him, alive and unpredictable.

He looked around. Trees with glowing leaves swayed, rivers sparkled like liquid crystal, and creatures with strange, shimmering forms peeked at him from behind rocks. His mind raced. Army drills taught him adaptability under pressure. Science taught him observation, patterns, and experimentation. If the world had rules, he could figure them out.

A faint shimmer caught his eye — a small floating creature with wings made of light hovered nearby. It chirped, almost beckoning him.

Aditya realized: This world is alive. Everything here responds to… something. He had no Algorithmic Arts, no hacks — only himself, his instincts, and knowledge.

He stepped carefully forward, testing the ground. The dirt beneath his feet glowed faintly as he walked, leaving temporary footprints of light. He noted patterns: some paths were safe, some reacted violently when stepped on. His engineering mind began mapping the area in his head.

Then, a low growl echoed from the trees. A creature, larger than any dog or cat, with crystalline claws and eyes like molten gold, emerged. It advanced slowly, sniffing the air.

Aditya's pulse quickened, but panic had no place here. He surveyed the environment — vines that could be pulled, stones that could be used, and his own strength and speed. He recalled army tactics: distance management, terrain advantage, and mental calculation.

He darted to the side, using the vines to swing over a river, avoiding the creature's first swipe. He improvised traps using rocks and sticks, forcing the creature to stumble. Sweat dripped from his brow, but a small grin appeared.

From the shadows of a massive glowing tree, a pair of eyes glimmered — faint, observing every move, unseen by Aditya. The watcher leaned slightly, intrigued. So this is the transmigrator… clever, resourceful, but untested in this world.

Aditya, unaware of the observer, wiped his brow. "No laptop… no cheats… just me. Let's see how far my brain can take me."

The magical world was unpredictable, dangerous, and alive — and for the first time, Aditya felt truly tested. He had survived one world with science and code. Now, he would have to survive another with magic, instinct, and strategy.
