Looking down, she realized she was completely naked.
A wave of heat rushed to her face, burning all the way to the tips of her ears. She wanted to scream, but her throat was so dry that not even a squeak escaped. Then the memories of last night crashed into her all at once.
Every kiss.
Every reckless moment.
Every shameless thing she'd done.
"Oh, Goddess..." she thought, mortified.
She wished the floor would split open and swallow her whole. If there had been a hole nearby, she would have buried her head in it like an ostrich and refused to come out for the next decade.
Before she could flee from her embarrassment, a strong arm slid around her waist and gently pulled her back against the warm mattress.
"Sleep a little longer..." Gideon murmured, his deep, lazy voice still thick with sleep. "Or are you hungry? Hmm?"
