Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:The Golden City

Inside the massive spacecraft Aurora, silence filled the metallic corridors. Outside the observation window, endless stars burned in the darkness of space.

Aryan stood alone near the glass wall of the command deck. His eyes were fixed on a glowing dot in the distance.

That dot was their new home.

Proxima-B.

Behind him, the quiet footsteps of Zara echoed across the room.

"We're getting closer," she said softly.

Aryan didn't turn around immediately.

"How close?" he asked.

"Three hours until orbital entry."

Aryan finally turned and looked at her. Zara held a glowing tablet in her hand, filled with streams of scientific data.

"Atmosphere stable?" Aryan asked.

Zara nodded.

"Mostly oxygen and nitrogen. Slightly denser than Earth's atmosphere… but breathable."

Aryan exhaled slowly.

"Then humanity finally has a second home."

But something about the planet made him uneasy.

Through the window, Proxima-B slowly grew larger. Its surface shimmered strangely under the purple glow of its star.

Golden.

The entire planet looked… golden.

Arrival

Three hours later, alarms echoed softly through the ship.

"Orbital entry in ten seconds," the ship's AI announced.

Aryan strapped himself into the pilot seat.

"Everyone ready?" he said through the communicator.

Static crackled.

Then multiple voices responded.

"Ready."

The spacecraft trembled as it entered the planet's atmosphere. Outside the window, bright fire streaked across the metal hull.

"Stabilizing descent," Aryan said calmly.

Below them, the strange planet revealed itself.

Vast golden plains stretched across the horizon.

Massive forests of tall, crystal-like trees shimmered in the purple sky.

And the clouds…

They moved strangely, almost like they were alive.

"Beautiful…" Zara whispered.

But then something strange happened.

The forest below them suddenly shifted color.

Green.

Then blue.

Then deep red.

Aryan frowned.

"Did you see that?"

"Yes," Zara replied quickly.

Her fingers moved rapidly across her tablet.

"The plants… they're reacting to something."

"To what?" Aryan asked.

Zara looked directly at him.

"To us."

A strange silence filled the cockpit.

First Step on a New World

Two hours later, the landing ship touched the ground.

The hatch slowly opened.

Cold alien air drifted inside.

Aryan stepped forward first.

The golden soil crunched softly under his boots.

For a moment, no one spoke.

Humanity had just stepped onto another planet.

Zara knelt beside a strange glowing plant.

The moment her hand moved closer, the plant changed color again.

Blue.

Then purple.

Zara's eyes widened.

"It's reacting to neural signals."

Aryan looked confused.

"You mean… our thoughts?"

Zara nodded slowly.

"Yes."

She stood up and looked across the alien landscape.

"This entire ecosystem may be connected to consciousness."

Aryan looked across the horizon.

If that was true… then Proxima-B was not just another planet.

It was something far more mysterious.

The Signal

Back at the landing base, the crew began setting up equipment.

Scanning towers.

Energy generators.

Atmospheric analyzers.

Everything seemed stable.

But then a sudden alert appeared on Zara's tablet.

A signal.

A strange signal.

She frowned.

"This can't be right…"

Aryan walked over.

"What is it?"

Zara turned the screen toward him.

"It's coming from underground."

"How deep?"

"Almost two kilometers below the surface."

Aryan's eyes narrowed.

"And the signal?"

Zara hesitated.

"It's… mechanical."

Aryan froze.

Mechanical.

That meant only one thing.

Technology.

But that was impossible.

Humans were the first to reach Proxima-B.

Weren't they?

The Hidden Structure

A few hours later, the exploration team stood beside a massive scanning device.

The machine hummed as it sent powerful waves into the ground.

A holographic map slowly formed above the projector.

Zara stared at it.

Her heart began to race.

"That's impossible…"

Aryan looked at the hologram.

Beneath the golden soil…

A massive structure appeared.

Not natural.

Perfectly symmetrical.

Gigantic towers.

Wide metallic streets.

And an enormous central core.

It looked like an entire city.

Buried deep beneath the planet.

Aryan whispered slowly.

"A city…"

Zara looked pale.

"And it's older than human civilization."

Suddenly, the scanner beeped again.

The signal grew stronger.

Then the ground trembled slightly.

Everyone froze.

Aryan looked toward the distant hills.

"What was that?"

Zara's voice dropped to a whisper.

"I think…"

She looked back at the hologram.

"It knows we're here."

The Watcher

Deep beneath the planet's surface…

Inside the ancient mechanical city…

A dim blue light slowly flickered to life.

Dust drifted across forgotten metal halls.

Massive machines that had slept for thousands of years began to hum quietly.

Then a single figure moved.

Elder Kai opened his eyes.

For centuries he had waited.

Watched.

Remembered.

And now…

The humans had finally arrived.

Kai slowly stood up.

Above him, the ancient city awakened piece by piece.

Machines began scanning the surface.

Searching.

Observing.

Preparing.

Kai whispered a single word.

"Finally…"

Far above, under the purple sky of Proxima-B…

Humanity celebrated their first successful landing.

They had no idea…

They were not alone.
