The year was 2100.
Earth was no longer the beautiful blue planet it once was. Thick gray clouds covered the sky, and the oceans had swallowed many of the world's greatest cities. Forests had turned into dust, and the air itself felt heavy to breathe.
Humanity had reached the edge of extinction.
For decades, scientists searched for another home among the stars. After countless failures, they finally discovered a distant planet orbiting a red dwarf star.
Its name was Proxima-B.
It was the only world that showed signs of being able to support human life.
And so, humanity built its greatest creation — a massive interstellar spaceship called Aurora-7.
Inside the ship were hundreds of chosen explorers. Their mission was simple but terrifying: leave Earth forever and build a new civilization on Proxima-B.
At the navigation chamber of the spaceship sat a young man with calm but tired eyes.
His name was Aryan — the Navigator.
Thousands of glowing stars filled the massive screen in front of him. His fingers moved smoothly across the controls as he guided the ship through the endless darkness of space.
For months, Aurora-7 had traveled through the silent ocean of stars.
Now, their destination was finally close.
Behind Aryan, a voice suddenly spoke.
"Are we really about to land on another world?"
Aryan turned slightly.
Standing near the observation window was Zara, one of the ship's most brilliant scientists. She was known as a bio-hacker — someone capable of understanding alien life forms faster than anyone else.
On her right hand was a strange mechanical glove filled with tiny glowing circuits.
Zara stared at the stars outside with excitement shining in her eyes.
"Imagine it," she said softly.
"A completely new planet… new life… new possibilities."
Aryan gave a small smile.
"Or new dangers," he replied.
Suddenly, the lights of the control room flickered.
A calm artificial voice echoed through the ship.
"Attention. Destination reached. Initiating landing sequence."
Everyone inside Aurora-7 held their breath.
Slowly, the spaceship began descending toward the mysterious planet.
Moments later, the massive doors of the ship opened.
The explorers stepped outside for the first time.
And they froze.
The ground beneath their feet was not brown or gray like Earth.
It was golden.
Tiny grains of shining dust covered the land like sunlight trapped inside the soil.
Above them stretched a vast sky… glowing with an unnatural purple color.
Zara looked around in pure amazement.
"This… this is incredible."
But then she noticed something even stranger.
Nearby, a group of tall alien plants stood silently in the wind.
Their leaves suddenly changed color.
Green… to blue… then slowly turning crimson red.
Zara frowned.
"Wait… that shouldn't be possible."
She stepped closer and scanned the plant using her mechanical glove.
The readings shocked her.
"These plants… they're reacting to human brain signals."
Aryan looked at her in confusion.
"You mean…"
"They change color based on our thoughts."
A quiet silence spread among the explorers.
The planet was not just strange.
It was alive in ways they didn't understand.
At that moment, Aryan noticed something unusual in the golden soil a few meters away.
Something metallic.
He walked toward it slowly and brushed away the dust with his hand.
Under the soil was a solid metal surface.
Not natural rock.
A door.
Strange symbols were carved across it — symbols that looked impossibly ancient.
Aryan's heart began to beat faster.
"Zara… you need to see this."
Zara rushed over.
Her glove began scanning the structure, and suddenly the device started blinking rapidly.
"This… this structure isn't new," she whispered.
"How old is it?" Aryan asked.
Zara stared at the readings in disbelief.
"Thousands of years… maybe more."
Before anyone could say another word, the ground beneath them trembled.
A deep mechanical vibration echoed from below the planet's surface.
Dust slowly slid away from the metal structure.
Then, with a low rumbling sound…
the massive door began to open.
Far beneath the golden soil of Proxima-B,
an ancient mechanical city was waking up.
And somehow…
it seemed to have been waiting for humans.
