Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 — A New Birth

Rain fell softly over the northern plains of Kingsland, the drops striking the rooftops with a gentle patter. Inside a modest yet noble estate, a newborn's cry pierced the air, announcing the arrival of a child whose presence would change the course of history. His eyes were clear, unnervingly intelligent for a newborn, and though his cries were those of any infant, there was a subtle depth to them—as if a thousand lifetimes of wisdom were already stirring within.

This was Aseel reborn, five centuries after his death. He was the youngest son of Lord Rhael Daryon, a nobleman of moderate influence and refined manners, and Lady Elira Daryon, a kind-hearted woman whose warmth enveloped all her children.

From the earliest moments, his abilities were unusual. By his first year, he could crawl with uncanny coordination. By age two, he was speaking in full sentences, asking questions about the natural world with a curiosity that astonished even his parents' tutors. By age three, small displays of elemental control had already manifested: a gentle breeze to cool himself, a droplet of water raised to prevent a spilled cup from hitting the floor, tiny flames that danced harmlessly above his fingertips.

His two sisters, Mira and Selene, doted on him endlessly. They were fiercely protective, carrying him around the estate, singing to him, and ensuring no harm came to their youngest brother. Their laughter and love were constant companions, forming the first bonds of his new life.

Aseel, even as a toddler, was not ignorant of his past life. Memories surfaced in fragments: betrayal, loss, power, the faces of those who had envied him. But he kept them buried, choosing to focus on growth, strategy, and observation.

This life will not be wasted, he thought, his young eyes following the dance of a flickering candle. I will grow stronger. I will master all elements again. And when the time comes, those who betrayed me will regret ever crossing my path.

The rain outside fell harder, the sound comforting rather than ominous. In this new life, in this new family, Aseel's journey had begun—not as the king of Kingsland, but as a child with the potential to surpass all living beings once more.
