Xander stared into his eyes, he heard a voice speak in his head. "Nothing."
He looked into his eyes again, he knew that voice was unfamiliar. He asked, "Yerkis, is that you?"
The voice spoke again, "Yes, it is."
Xander could not believe it. His nephew could communicate as a telepath, "Yerkis who taught you this?"
Yerkis smiled, "No one. It's my power."
"I'm guessing your mother is not aware of this. Is she?"
He spoke out loud, "No she's not."
Xander watched the little boy in amazement. He was too intelligent to over look. He bent his knees to reach his little height by squatting.
"What else do you have up your sleeve?" Yerkis smiled at him, he turned to the grass. His eyes turned purple, the grass turned purple too.
He turned his eyes to the electric pole, the pole bent slowly. Xander got a little bit scared when he did that, yet Yerkis wasn't done with his marvelous tricks.
Yerkis walked through the door and looked up to the skies. Xander followed him to keep up, the clouds gathered. The wind blew like the storm gave a head start.
Slowly, bit by bit, the rain fell from the sky. It drizzled for a few seconds and then it stopped. He turned to the ball by the field, it left the ground and floated high above in the atmosphere.
"Yerkis?" The ball dropped to the ground and he smiled at his uncle.
"Yes, Uncle Alex." Xander looked him straight in the eye. He could understand why Aurora wanted the tests done on him, even Solstice asking for the boy.
"Don't show any other person your abilities, okay? Until we leave this earth realm. Protect yourself and your energy."
"Okay. I will." He dropped Yerkis from his body, Yerkis ran inside. Just in time, a car drives straight to the front of the house, it was unfamiliar to his memory.
It was Aurora. She stepped out of the car, she said, "Where is the boy?" Suddenly Appeared right in front of her and stabbed her with a knife.
Xander yelled, "Apex! No! Don't! It's a friend of the family. Why did you kill her?"
Apex pushed him back, Xander fell to the ground. He got up again, he noticed the lady stabbed didn't die. Instead she smiled as blood gushed out of her mouth.
It turned and ran away from them into the portal it opened. Xander didn't understand what just happened. "Apex what was that?"
"Xander don't you ever allow that boy show his powers out in the public like that again. The next time this happens, I won't come out to save you."
"I get it. But wait, what was that? Tell me. It looked exactly like her and spoke like that."
"They are the beings at the edges of the gateways. They are thieves. Don't ask for their names because it triggers them, so I won't be telling you that. Okay?"
"Okay."
Apex cleaned his knife and said, "Prepare for the council meeting it's by the end of this week. It's basically because of the boy."
"And other things of course." Xander said.
It's the end of the week, Xander stepped out of the bathroom. He noticed a letter on his bed, it had a hold seal on it. He waited to see who dropped it. But he didn't.
He picked it up, he opened it. He knew it would be an invitation to the meeting of the council.
He looked at the piece of paper, he turned to the window with his towel still on his waist. "Yeah I'll be there in a few minutes. I don't have a choice do I?"
He dropped the paper carelessly on the bed. He picked out his comb to caress his hair, he dropped it. He watched his reflection in the mirror for a while, he stepped away from it.
His phone rang, he picked it up. It was an unknown number, he stayed silent waiting for the caller to speak. The caller didn't.
He remained silent, he got bored of it and cut the call short by ending it. He felt odd about the weird call he just received.
He took his shirt and wore it, he took his trousers and attempted to wear it again but this time he couldn't. He got interrupted by the call.
"Okay let's really get to this, you better be ready to speak this time." He picked the call and said, "Who is this?"
The voice spoke in a language he didn't understand. He removed the phone from his ear, he stared at the phone confused at what just emerged from it.
He dropped the call again, he took his eyes to the door. He wore the trousers and walked outside till he got to the car. He forgot the location was at the realms.
He closed the car door, he opened the portal and walked through it. The moment he crossed the large circle, all eyes went to him.
Some were surprised at what he wore and others were just shocked he came. He stood in silence, he knew something was wrong with what he wore.
He glanced around, he noticed the well designed and printed apparel majority of the realm lords had on. He looked and noticed some had sceptres of power, while others wore bracelets and rings.
He noticed the walls were adequately designed with gold and glitter powder. Different colours and styles, sculptures of royalty and elegance listed across the halls. It wasn't like the usual day visiting, it made him over think in ultra disappointment.
Apex walked in, he was surprised he wore just a common t-shirt and trousers. "You don't expect me to think you wouldn't flop, didn't you? Come with me, you look like a total disgrace."
Xander walked with him as he spoke, "Don't worry he came in late to dress better. He'll be out soon!"
Alex pulled Xander as they walked up to the room, he said, "Xander why did you dress like this? Didn't you read the dress code? I sent you everything through the letter. I said wear the green and the gold, take the sceptre with you. You left them at Earth X?"
