Zephyr knew immediately, something went wrong when he slept off into the trance. He asked, "Xander, can you explain this? Are you alright? What happened to you when you slept off? Can you remember anything?"
Xander sat up, he kept his eye contact with Zephyr. He tried his best to think of a perfect reply but he couldn't. He thought he could lie but he still couldn't.
"Zephyr? I don't know what to say. I feel like I came back from the dead but I can't quite tell how. Apex did a little something and right now, I suspect that's the cause of the weather condition and more."
Zephyr leaned back and said, "We need to go to the Astral outpost. I think we have a lot of work to do there, if your energy us too much then I bet we could make up a way for it to leave you. I mean… So we could make good use of it?"
"Are you trying to kill me? Or are you trying to help me? Zephyr I am the power and the power is me. If you take it out of me then you take my life force as well."
Vexis walked in as they spoke, "Xander? I need you to tell me everything. Everything Solstice did and all that Apex casted. What did they do?"
"First I feel like Nebula wants me dead but he's hiding it and second, Apex did the best he could to bring me back to life."
"The best? Xander do you call all that's happening now the direct best? Look at the Earth realm we are in. He just did this to take the glory of course, Apex won't not do this for anyone. He brought you back for a selfish purpose."
Xander moved away from the table, "Whatever it was that made him pick me out of death, I'm grateful for it. He's a smart type."
"And we are dull. Don't be dumb Xander. He's clearly using you and trying his best to find some sort of self absorbed glory."
Xander felt a stray string of confusion, he didn't feel clear about the matter discussed. "Vexis, I do know that you are dark and all but what if you see the light he brought."
Vexis expressed a firm state of irritation, "Light? You think your grand arbiter is a being of light. If he was then how did he bring you back? You came back through the same dark powers that sent you into that trance Xander. Open your eyes and your mind."
Xander stayed calm. He kept his mouth shut. He took his eyes to the door, surprised to see the last standing there. It was Kira.
She was smiling, still and calm. Suddenly she disappeared, Vexis turned to the direction he stared at. "Your visions are becoming more serious and vast. Control them." He attempted to stroll out of the room.
Suddenly he stopped the moment he reached the door, he turned back to look at Xander. "Xander? You need to end this quick before the lives of innocent people go down for it."
He walked out, Zephyr turned his attention to Xander. "What do you think about what I said earlier? Agreement or not?"
Xander uttered, "Agreement it is." Immediately a turmoil hit the laboratory. Xander held on to the bed for stable support, Zephyr fell to the ground. He was shocked.
The turmoil stopped, Xander said, "The turmoil goes wherever I go then. This happened at the house three times. It's just two left."
He stayed glue to the bed, he was wrong. The turmoil already stopped. He looked around for any broken glass or equipment, luckily they were none. "Zephyr we need to leave now."
They drove off to the astral outpost, getting there they see a storm emerging ahead of them. Both of them knew they didn't have a choice but to watch from the car or return back to the lab.
Zephyr asked, "What did he really do to you? I mean how did this happen? Can't we work something out?"
"For now, we'll need to research before we even make any moves. What about Aster? Where is that dude?"
"The last time I saw Aster, he was with your sister at the hospital for her antenatal care. You know."
Xander ignited the engine, and turned the vehicle back, he asked, "What? Antenatal? Why? Who's pregnant? Mara already gave birth. Update me."
"Your elder sister, Astrid. Did you forget? Aren't you aware? She was pregnant before you left. She'll give birth soon I think, at least in a couple of months right?"
"Months? Just it's at the early stage then. I don't my father's aware, is he?"
Zephyr pulled out a chocolate croissant and took two bites from it. He replied with a semi full mouth, "Yes he is. They are planning a wedding and it's close. They wanted to keep it discreet but Void already knew. Same as myself. Now you."
"How did he get in between my sisters pants? Legs? Whatever! Dude we need to stop this. What's the plan?"
Zephyr drank his apple juice from the bottle. "There's no need for that, they love each other. At least they look like they do."
"How we'll do you know Professor Lucas Aster? Spill it all to me."
"Xander I don't need to know him but the only thing I know is he was one of the professors at the lab during the random possession."
"What's that? Oh wait. When the astral chimera possessed a lot of people."
Zephyr chewed the last bite of his medium sized croissant. He replied, "Yeah that's what we thought. We thought it was the Chimera but it was something else. A water creature."
Xander hit the brakes hard. The car stopped immediately, he knew what it was. "The hydra being? The quantum hydra?"
"Yeah I think that should be it. The hydra being. Vexis mentioned it, it escaped and we thought it was the chimera. That's a wrong diagnosis."
