Xander reached the door of the house. He met Galen outside, "Well look who showed up, out of the blue. You are fully welcome here Xander." He paused for a while to stare at him, he said, "Come here." He smiled.
Galen gave him a tight hug, Mara walked through the door after hearing two voices instead of one. She smiled at him, their eyes met.
"Xander? Welcome back." She hugged him tight. He felt her motherly nature, he didn't expect that.
Luna stopped practicing with her hands, she sensed him around, she walked out to meet him. She looked at him from his head to toe to make sure that it was him.
He stared at her stomach, she was without a child. He was back to life truly. "Luna?" She hugged him tight.
"Xander I would never have thought of missing you but here I am. I'm really glad you are back."
Xander smiled, he said, "Luna to be honest I missed you more. Come on, let's go inside. I know you have a lot to tell me." They walked into the house together.
"Xander I just cooked something, just a little spaghetti. Are you hungry?" She asked. He smiled and took a glass of water, he gulped down the entire glass and let out a belch.
He replied, "Luna yeah I am. When did you start cooking at home? What happened? Did Mara threaten you? Maybe took a gun to your head?" He tried to joke around.
"Well no. I wanted to assist her and suddenly I got a hang of it. I just liked it suddenly, you know. It just clicked in with me." She served out a plate of spaghetti and sauce.
"Thank you." He took the fork and wrapped it in a mild amount of spaghetti. He put it in his mouth and liked the taste, it tastes just like Elysium's. He smiled and said, "Wow. This taste just like mom's. That's crazy, how did you get the perfect recipe?"
"I can't tell you that and how I got it but I'm just glad you like it. Enjoy." She sipped on her glass of cranberry juice.
Xander wrapped the fork with a mild amount of spaghetti once again, he tried to put it in his mouth but a sudden tremor hit the house. A slight earthquake, it stayed for about a few seconds and then it stopped.
Xander froze and stared at Luna with an inquisitive facial expression of surprise. He wondered what that was, he asked, "Luna? What was that?"
The tremor hit again and this time it was worse than the first. The glasses hung above hit the floor and broke to pieces, Luna laid low to the ground and covered her head with her hands.
Xander remained in his sitting position, the tremor stopped. "When did this start? Luna?" The tremor hit again and this time, the table shook severely. The vibration caused Xander to stop talking. He held the table tight.
Finally, Luna got up. She replied, "Xander there's a lot of things we need to discuss right now. There's a lot happening in Earth X, ever since you left it's been tremors here and there. The climate's changing and we don't know or understand what's causing the change in the first place."
"What? Are you serious? Where's dad? And the lab? Did they look into this? Where's Zephyr even? Void and Vexis? What did the league of scientists say about this?"
"Xander, that's the issue with them. They've looked into it and still no solution, they don't know who did it and why it's happening. They ran lots of tests and still nothing, I suspect a shift in the portals."
Suddenly he remembered, he just came back. His return may have a hand in this shift she just spoke of. "Luna I think we need to visit the outcast of the city."
"First you need to eat and also I've done that with Astrid. Aster made sure all. Energies we're locked and all portals sealed. The only thing I know is Vexis may know what's causing all of this, he's been really quiet these days."
"Right. I will. I just need to eat first." He continued with his meal. Galen walked into the house and locked the door.
"Luna? I'll be right back. I need to visit the lab before it's evening." Galen walked into his room to change his clothes.
Xander asked Luna, "What's happening this evening?"
She replied, "The storm or the heavy tornado."
He chewed, glancing at her, "What? Is it that bad? You can't be serious, Earth X would never have such."
"The timelines have been triggered. Someone did something absurd and now all the earth realms need to pay for it."
He knew only one person that had that amount of power to do such, in fact he knew at least four more with that capacity.
He ate his last wrap of spaghetti and drank the glass of water Luna set out for him. He stayed calm, he took out his phone. He saw multiple messages and missed calls. Mostly from Zephyr and Kira.
He opened them, they were warnings of the tremors and the weather conditions. He dialed Zephyr's number. Zephyr smiled at the sight of the call, he answered the call.
"Xander? You are back? How did you survive it? We heard the story, where are you?"
"Zephyr I'm at the house. I'm coming, I'll be at the lab soon. Myself and my dad. Just wait for me."
"Alright, see ya."
Galen drove off to the laboratory with Xander, getting there a lot of eyes were there waiting to see him and mostly surprised to see him as a whole human. He walked in like a new celebrity on the block.
Zephyr saw him and yelled, "Xander! This way." Xander walked past a lot of scientists and moved straight to Zephyr. "We need to run a lot of tests on you. Sit tight."
Xander walked slowly till he sat on the bed, he laid still wondering why they required that from him. He thought of what they would try to do if they found out about the cause of the disasters.
Zephyr took the needle and wanted to pierce it into his arm, surprisingly it didn't go through. It made it look like Xander was made from steel, he tried to use a different needle but this time. It melted to nothing.
