Chapter 23 - Chapter 13: The Rise of Conglomerate Socials

Semantic governance required institutions capable of managing vast flows of information and interpretation. This role eventually fell to a powerful network of media platforms, cultural institutions, and algorithmic systems collectively known as Conglomerate Socials. Unlike traditional governments, Conglomerate Socials did not rule through laws. It ruled through adjudication. It decided which narratives succeeded and which failed, which reputations mattered and which interpretations became dominant.

In effect, Conglomerate Socials became the authority that determined the outcome of linguistic conflict. This made it the most powerful institution in Eurostate because in a civilization governed by meaning, the power to interpret events is equivalent to the power to shape reality.
