Chapter 22 - Chapter 12: The Founding of Eurostate

As national governments struggled to manage the post-pandemic crisis, European institutions began merging logistical systems. Supply chains integrated. Healthcare networks unified. Digital infrastructure consolidated. Eventually political authority followed the same path. The result was Eurostate.

Eurostate was not founded through a traditional revolution or democratic referendum but emerged gradually from administrative necessity. Borders dissolved because managing them became inefficient. Cultural differences were minimized because conflict risked destabilizing the fragile recovery. This new system prioritized stability above all else. Its guiding philosophy could be summarized simply: Prevent the conditions that produce breakdown.

Meaning was identified as the most volatile of these conditions thus meaning became the primary object of governance.
