The pitch-black ship sailed through the dark sea.
The ship was filled with people, most of them armed.
Along with Maria and Ravin, there were nearly ten other teenagers on board.
The teenagers were divided five or six rooms below the deck.
Each room was shared by two people.
Somehow, out of all the people on the ship, Maria ended up sharing a room with Ravin.
More then thirty hours passed since the ship left the shore.
The teenagers were given enough food and water to survive.
As we enter Ravin and Maria's room, Maria can still be seen lying unconscious on the bed.
Meanwhile, Ravin sat quietly in the corner of the room, holding a half-filled water bottle in his hand.
Meanwhile, far away from the ship…
the scene shifted to Ravin's house.
Inside the house was Ravin's mother, Olivia.
But she wasn't alone.
Ravin's school teacher was there with her as well.
"It's already been two days," Olivia said calmly.
"And Ravin still hasn't returned."
After a brief silence, she continued,
"Honestly… I don't think he'll come back."
"He was far too stubborn that day."
"Well… he's not coming back anyway, right?"
The teacher leaned back slightly before smiling faintly.
"So why don't we just go to Paris?"
"It could be fun."
"Seriously? With you?" Olivia scoffed.
"No thanks."
She crossed her arms before continuing coldly.
"You still haven't paid me for the other night, so forget it, you piece of scum."
"Besides… I already have other plans."
"But Olivia… I really love you," he said quietly.
Olivia immediately frowned.
"Love?" she scoffed.
"Shut up."
Her voice turned colder.
"Even if you disappeared tomorrow, it wouldn't mean anything to me."
"As long as you pay me, I'll stay with you."
"Other than that… you're nothing to me."
"So get the hell out."
Before either of them could say another word—
knock. knock.
Someone knocked on the door.
"Hey, Olivia. How are you?"
"Why the hell are you so late?" Olivia snapped immediately.
She sounded irritated, though not genuinely angry.
The man glanced toward the teacher sitting inside the house.
"By the way… who's that?"
Olivia looked back casually.
"Oh, him?" she replied dismissively.
"Never mind. Just another customer of mine."
She grabbed her bag near the couch.
"So, can we go now? I already packed everything."
"Yeah," the man replied.
"We should hurry if we want to catch the flight."
Olivia walked back inside the house and looked at the teacher.
"Why are you still here?"
"I'm leaving this place forever."
She grabbed the last of her belongings before continuing,
"So just get out."
After a brief pause, she sighed quietly.
"And don't worry about paying for last night or today either, alright?"
"That's the only favor I'll ever do for you."
The teacher stayed silent for a moment before nodding slowly.
"Alright… I'm leaving."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"It was nice being with you."
"Goodbye."
A few moments later, Olivia and the man quietly left the house together.
"So much has happened over the past few days…" he said with a faint smile.
"But honestly, I enjoyed it."
He seemed strangely satisfied with everything that had happened.
Meanwhile, far away from the city…
the scene shifted back to the ship.
Ravin quietly looked toward Maria.
After a while, he noticed slight movement from her.
It seemed like she was finally regaining consciousness.
Ravin narrowed his eyes slightly.
"She's alive…?"
Ravin slowly walked toward her, still holding the water bottle in his hand.
"Are you awake?" he asked cautiously.
"Hello?"
When she didn't respond, he opened the bottle cap, poured a little water into his hand, and lightly sprinkled it onto her face.
Finally, Maria slowly began regaining consciousness.
She struggled to open her eyes while the dim light of the room blurred around her.
Meanwhile, Ravin took more water into his hand and splashed it onto her face again.
Maria immediately flinched.
"Yo, stop, kid!" she snapped weakly.
"I'm awake!"
Maria finally managed to see his face clearly.
The moment she did, her eyes widened in complete shock.
She kept staring at him silently, almost unable to believe what she was seeing.
"That's impossible…" she whispered.
"This can't be real."
Her breathing became uneven.
"Ivan…?"
Tears slowly filled her eyes.
"You're alive?"
Ravin looked confused immediately.
He glanced around the room for a moment, as if trying to figure out whether someone else was there.
But there was nobody.
He slowly pointed at himself.
"Wait…"
"Are you talking about me?"
Ravin frowned slightly.
"I'm not Ivan."
"Then… who are you?!"
Ravin looked even more confused now.
"Me?"
"I'm Ravin."
After a brief pause, he frowned slightly.
"Wait… do you know me?"
Before Ravin could say anything else, Maria's expression suddenly went blank.
It was as if her mind had completely stopped processing everything around her.
Her body slowly lost balance—
and a second later, she collapsed unconscious once again.
