"Edward, what's wrong?"
He flinched from her soft murmur, turning his glance around one final time before closing the door with a 'click'.
"It felt as if…someone was tailing after me here."
"Huh?" A bit taken aback by his words, Helena tapped her fingers in a restless rhythm against her cardboard before she mumbled, "I think you might be mistaken about it."
"Maybe."
His brows knit a frown when Edward went back to his seat, while she tossed her question impatiently once again, "As I asked, the scent you had mentioned…was it regarding an omega?"
His dark crimson eyes narrowed a little the moment he met her curious gaze, making the corner of his red lips twitch a little when Edward rolled out a sly smirk, "For now, I won't go into much detail about that person.
"But it is exactly as I said…the scent that shouldn't exist in the first place, how could I be the only one who can perceive it?"
