Chapter 1 - The Hidden Temple

The wind howled across the mountains as dark clouds slowly covered the sky.

High above the world, hidden among floating cliffs and ancient ruins, stood a forgotten island known only in legends. At the center of the island was a massive temple built from ancient stone. The temple was older than any kingdom on earth.

Inside that temple… rested the Master Emerald.

A giant green crystal floated in the air, glowing softly. Strange symbols surrounded it, carved into the floor by a civilization that had disappeared thousands of years ago. The emerald pulsed with power.

It had protected the world for centuries.

But tonight, something was wrong.

The crystal suddenly flashed brighter.

Deep inside the temple, the sound of footsteps echoed.

A shadowy figure slowly walked through the dark hallway.

"After all these years…" the figure whispered.

His red eyes glowed in the darkness as he looked toward the glowing emerald.

"The Master Emerald will finally be mine."

Far away, in the small mountain village of Eldoria, a boy named Arin sprinted through the forest.

"Wait for me!" he shouted.

His childhood friend, Mira, laughed as she climbed over a fallen tree.

"You're too slow, Arin!"

Arin straightened, brushing dirt off his tunic. "I'm not slow… you just run like a wild wolf!"

Mira grinned. "Maybe I am. You know, I've trained with you since we were little. Remember when we climbed the cliffs near Eldoria? I always thought you'd find something amazing up there."

Arin smiled faintly. "Yeah… my dad used to tell me stories about explorers and guardians. He disappeared years ago searching for ancient relics. My mom… she always warned me to stay safe, but I can't stop wondering if I was meant for something more."

Mira's eyes softened. "Well… now you might."

Suddenly, the ground trembled. Both of them froze.

"What was that?" Arin asked.

Another tremor shook the forest. Birds suddenly flew into the sky, and the wind began to swirl strangely.

Mira looked toward the distant mountains. "I don't like this…"

Then something incredible happened. A bright green light suddenly flashed across the sky.

Arin's eyes widened. "What is that?"

The strange light came from the direction of the floating island that no one believed was real.

But Arin felt something strange inside his chest—a warmth, almost like something was calling him.

He whispered quietly, "…The Master Emerald."

The ground shook violently. Mira grabbed his arm.

"Arin! Look!"

Far above the clouds, the floating island appeared for a moment in the glowing green light.

But something else was there. A dark shadow stood beside the glowing emerald inside the ancient temple. The shadow slowly raised its hand.

The Master Emerald began to glow brighter… and brighter.

Then—CRACK.

A deep crack spread across the emerald. A terrifying voice echoed through the sky.

"Finally… the seal is breaking."

Arin suddenly felt a powerful energy rush through his body. His eyes glowed faintly green. Then a mysterious voice whispered inside his mind:

"Guardian… you must come."

Arin froze. "Guardian…? Me?"

High above the world, the Master Emerald cracked again.

CRACK.

The green light exploded across the sky. And for the first time in thousands of years…

the seal of the Master Emerald began to break.
