Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 — Awakening Abyss: The Fourth Force Emerges

The night felt… wrong.

Not dark—But deeper than darkness itself.

Aira couldn't sleep.

She stood alone at the edge of Eldara, staring into the distant mountains. Her sword burned faintly in her hand, but the flame no longer felt like just fire.

It felt… alive.

Watching.

Waiting.

A sudden pulse ran through her chest.

Aira gasped, clutching her heart.

"W-What… is this?"

Her flames flickered wildly—then changed.

For a split second…

They turned black.

"Aira!"

Kael rushed toward her, wind spiraling in alarm.

"I felt that all the way from the village—what just happened?!"

Aira stepped back, shaking her head. "I don't know… my flame—it changed."

Ren appeared moments later, golden aura tense and alert.

"I felt it too," he said quietly. "That wasn't just your Flame Force…"

He hesitated.

"That was something else."

The ground trembled.

Not violently—But slowly… like something beneath the world was breathing.

Master Dain emerged from the shadows, his expression more serious than ever before.

"It has begun…" he whispered.

Aira looked at him. "What has begun?"

Master Dain's voice was heavy.

"The awakening of the Abyss Force."

Silence.

Kael blinked. "Wait—there's another Force?"

Ren's golden aura dimmed slightly, as if reacting to the name itself.

"A fourth… Force?" he murmured.

Master Dain nodded slowly.

"Long ago, when the Forces were split, something was sealed away. Not Flame. Not Wind. Not Light…"

He looked directly at Aira.

"But something darker."

Aira's grip tightened on her sword.

"You're saying… that thing is inside me?"

Before he could answer—

A scream echoed from the forest.

All four of them turned instantly.

The trees twisted unnaturally.

The air grew heavy.

And from the darkness—

Something stepped out.

It wasn't like the other monsters.

It wasn't shadow.

It wasn't solid.

It looked like a tear in reality itself—a shifting, unstable form of black and violet energy, pulsing like a heartbeat.

Its presence alone made the ground crack beneath it.

Kael took a step back. "That thing… feels completely different…"

Ren's golden aura flared defensively. "It's reacting to something… or someone…"

The creature's gaze locked onto Aira.

Her heart stopped.

"Aira…" Kael whispered. "It's looking at you."

The creature moved.

Not fast.

Not slow.

But inevitable.

Aira raised her sword instinctively. Flames burst to life—

But again—

They flickered.

And turned black.

"No…" she whispered.

The creature lunged.

Kael reacted instantly, sending a powerful gust of wind to push it back—

But the attack passed through it like it wasn't even there.

Ren followed with a burst of golden light—

The creature staggered… but didn't fall.

"It's not fully physical!" Ren shouted. "Our attacks barely affect it!"

Aira stepped forward.

Her flames burned darker now.

Stronger.

Unfamiliar.

"Then… I'll try something else."

She closed her eyes.

For the first time…

She didn't fight the strange power inside her.

She reached for it.

The darkness responded.

Her sword ignited—

Not with fire—

But with a swirling black inferno, mixed with traces of red.

Kael's eyes widened. "Aira… what are you doing?!"

Aira opened her eyes.

They glowed faintly…

With a shadowed light.

"Something new."

She dashed forward.

The creature lunged at the same time.

And their powers collided.

A massive wave of energy erupted, shaking the entire forest.

Black flames clashed against the creature's unstable form.

For the first time—

It reacted.

It screamed.

Aira pushed harder, the dark flames growing stronger, sharper.

The creature's form began to collapse, tearing apart like broken shadows.

With one final strike—

She cut through it.

Silence.

The creature dissolved into nothingness.

Gone.

Aira stood still.

Her sword dimmed.

The black flames disappeared—

Returning to normal.

Her knees buckled.

Kael caught her before she fell. "Aira!"

Ren rushed forward, golden aura stabilizing her energy.

"That wasn't just Flame Force…" he said, voice tense.

"That was something else entirely."

Master Dain stepped closer, eyes filled with both fear… and understanding.

"The Abyss Force…" he said quietly.

"It has chosen you."

Aira's breathing was uneven.

Her voice barely a whisper.

"I didn't control it…"

She looked at her hands.

"They listened to it."

Kael shook his head. "That thing almost consumed you!"

Ren, however, remained calm.

"No… it didn't consume her."

He looked at Aira seriously.

"It responded to her."

Aira's eyes widened.

Far away, on the mountain peak—

The villain watched.

And for the first time—

He smiled… wider than ever before.

"Yes…" he whispered.

"It has awakened."

The wind grew cold.

The sky darkened slightly.

And deep beneath the world—

The Abyss Force stirred once more.

Aira stood silently, her heart racing.

Her flames burned softly.

But now…

She knew the truth.

She didn't just carry the Flame Force.

She carried something far more dangerous.

Something that could either save the world…

Or destroy it.
