There were a few reasons why Ruvian didn't want to report the situational change inside this dungeon to the academy.
Firstly, it would deviate from the original story. Because who knew what might happen if he did? Even if the elective ended up being cancelled, the academy would simply send them to another dungeon instead.
That would only introduce more uncertainty, because Ruvian would no longer be able to rely on the meta-knowledge he had.
Secondly, he simply thought it would be a complete waste.
In this dungeon, Ruvian vaguely remembered that there was an entire chamber filled with Voidspawn egg clusters. Although they were still in an undeveloped stage, the world's system still categorized them as something close to a Lesser Voidspawn.
Because of that, killing them still granted Mana Resonance.
