A world where the gods have fallen… and humanity now holds the power to shape the world.
This is the story of a boy named Henry, and a journey that has no destination.
Two thousand years ago, the gods still walked the world. They lived high above the Earth, in the upper reaches of the exosphere, watching over the planet and the countless lives thriving below.
Then, one day, catastrophe approached.
A massive meteor raced toward Earth, threatening to wipe out everything. To protect the planet, the gods united and fought with all their might.
They succeeded.
But victory came at a terrible price.
The gods perished.
Their souls ascended to a higher dimension, leaving their physical forms behind. As their bodies crumbled, they shattered into countless tiny fragments that rained down upon the Earth.
Those fragments carried the remnants of divine power.
When these fragments reached humans, some of them resonated with their bodies. Though humans could never wield the power of the gods in its full form, those chosen few gained extraordinary abilities.
These individuals came to be known as the Aetherbound.
With this newfound power, humanity entered a new era—an era where humans themselves could shape the fate of the world.
Author's Note – Power System
Before the story truly begins, let me explain the power system of this world.
People who gain divine power are called Aetherbound.
When a divine fragment enters a human body, it reacts with their life force. Eventually, the fragment settles deep within the body and embeds itself inside the heart, becoming a source of energy.
Because of this, Aetherbound individuals also gain an increased lifespan, often living over 100 years.
The Four Core Elements
All elemental powers originate from four primary elements:
Water
Fire
Wind
Earth
These are known as Core Elements.
Control Rank System
Each Aetherbound is evaluated based on how well they control their elemental core.
The ranks range from D to S.

21% – 34%

35% – 50%
A
51% – 70%
S
70%+
The percentage represents how much of their core power a person has synchronized with. Higher saturation means better control, coordination, and efficiency with their abilities.
Through intense training, individuals can gradually increase their control.
Core Evolution – Dual Elements
There exists a dangerous method to evolve one's elemental core.
Only those at Rank A or above may attempt it.
In this process, an external fragment is forcibly merged with the user's main core. If successful, it creates a Dual Element Core.
Possible combinations include:
Wind + Fire
Wind + Earth
Water + Earth
Water + Fire
Water + Wind
This process is extremely risky and can easily result in failure or death.
Even after successfully forming a dual core, the user must start training again to master the new power.
There are also other ways for elements to evolve, which will be revealed later in the story.
Combat System
In addition to elemental powers, the world also includes various combat styles, including:
Weapon combat
Martial arts
Specialized battle classes
Each style requires its own training and discipline.
