Screen 1 — Stranger in the Witch World
Law John entered the city and checked several hotels.
Each one was expensive.
Far beyond what he wanted to spend.
He looked at the numbers, expression unchanged… but for a brief moment, there was the faintest trace of disappointment.
John Law (thinking):
"…Too costly."
Instead of wasting resources, he kept walking.
At the edge of the city he found an abandoned house.
Broken windows. Dust. Silence.
Good enough.
He decided to stay there.
That night, he slept lightly, one hand near his equipment.
Morning
At dawn, John went out to gather information.
Quietly.
Observing.
Listening.
The city felt unusual.
Most of the people he saw were women.
Very few men.
That alone made him suspicious.
John Law (thinking):
"Demographic imbalance… abnormal."
He continued through the streets.
Then he noticed someone.
A young witch standing near a market stall.
Unlike everyone else, she looked nervous.
Watching people.
Avoiding attention.
As if afraid.
John slowed his steps.
Something about her did not fit.
His instincts sharpened.
John Law (thinking):
"Maybe… this is what I need."
He began walking toward her.
And she looked up—
As if she had been expecting him.
