Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Man From Her Past

"You…!"

The moment saw the man standing in front of her, the wounds of her past tore open again.

Her eyes filled with cold hatred.

"Kunal Kapoor," she said quietly.

"I didn't expect we'd meet again so soon."

A slow smile spread across the face of .

"Well… at least you remember me."

"For a moment I thought you might have forgotten."

Mahira laughed bitterly.

"I might forget myself one day."

"But how could I forget the man who destroyed my life… and separated me from my children?"

Kunal's smile faded for a moment.

Then he chuckled.

"So much hatred."

He stepped closer.

"It doesn't matter how much you hate me, Mahira."

"I will still love you."

Disgust flashed across her face.

"Love?" she said sharply.

"I'm fifteen years younger than you."

"Have you looked at yourself lately?"

"You're a forty-five-year-old man."

Her eyes turned icy.

"Do you look at your daughter the same way?"

SLAP!

The sound echoed through the hall.

Mahira's head snapped to the side.

Blood slowly appeared at the corner of her lips.

Kunal grabbed her throat.

"How dare you bring my daughter into this!"

His voice turned dark.

"Until now, I wanted to marry you."

"But now…"

His grip tightened.

"Now I'll keep you as my mistress."

He turned to walk away.

But Mahira's voice stopped him.

"You're still the same coward."

Kunal froze.

Mahira slowly raised her head.

"I'm not the girl you tried to control years ago."

Her voice became sharper.

"If you have the courage…"

"Untie me."

Kunal laughed.

"Interesting."

He signaled his men.

"Fine. Let's see what you've become."

The ropes were cut.

Mahira stood up slowly.

And in that instant—

It felt like a lioness had just walked out of a cage.

Her aura filled the room.

Even Kunal had to admit it.

Mahira had changed.

Kunal Kapoor was forty-five years old.

Years of brutal training had carved his body into steel.

Tall. Broad shoulders. A razor-sharp jawline.

His cold blue eyes alone were enough to make most men lower their heads in fear.

Officially, he was the owner of a multi-billion construction empire.

Unofficially—

He was one of the world's largest illegal arms suppliers.

His construction company was merely a cover.

Behind it ran an underground empire of weapons, blood, and crime.

In the underworld, his name carried a terrifying reputation.

A ruthless killer.

Wherever he walked, people bowed their heads.

But even Kunal had an ambition.

He wanted to become the king of the underworld.

Unfortunately for him…

The current underworld don was far more dangerous.

A ghost no one had seen.

Except one man.

And in the past two years, someone else had entered that battlefield.

A rival powerful enough to challenge Kunal.

Kevin Agarwal.

Kevin wasn't just Kunal's business rival.

He was his personal enemy.

And because of Kevin's constant protection…

Mahira had remained out of Kunal's reach for years.

Even in prison—

Mahira had been protected with Z-plus security.

Though she had never known it.

In that moment—

It felt like a lioness had stepped out of a cage.

Three guards rushed toward her.

They never even touched her.

Mahira moved like lightning.

Within seconds—

All three men hit the floor.

Kunal leaned back in his chair, watching with amusement.

More guards attacked.

Mahira fought like a storm.

Punch.

Kick.

Strike.

Bodies kept falling.

But the guards kept coming.

Wave after wave.

Meanwhile…

Miles away, stared at the live security feed on his tablet.

His jaw tightened.

Mahira was fighting alone against dozens of men.

Ivan glanced at the screen.

"She's unbelievable…"

Kevin didn't respond.

Inside, rage burned like fire.

Why did I let her leave the house alone?

Mahira stumbled slightly in the video.

Kevin's hand clenched.

"Drive faster."

The convoy of black cars sped through the night.

Back in the mansion—

Mahira had already defeated dozens of guards.

But her breathing was becoming heavy.

Her body was weakening.

Inside her mind, one name echoed.

Kevin…

Suddenly—

The sound of multiple cars stopping outside filled the air.

Kunal smiled.

"So he's finally here."

He grabbed Mahira's arm.

But before he could move—

A massive black wild cat leaped onto him.

He fell backward.

Two more cats blocked his path.

Kunal frowned.

There was no more time.

He looked at Mahira and smiled coldly.

"Perhaps this will be the last time you see me."

Moments later a helicopter lifted into the sky.

Kunal hovered above the mansion.

Then he pressed a remote.

CLICK.

And the entire mansion—

EXPLODED.

Fire and debris erupted into the night.
