Humphrey's chest heeved up and down.
His breath was haggered.
Then.....
A finger twitched.
He wasn't done yet.
He was a Transcendant after all, a two star Transcendant, a being that was ready to transcend from the mortal plane.
He didn't achieve such power with luck.
He was not ordinary.

Humphrey let out another scream, his fury growing every passing second.
Raymond's eyes narrowed.
"Yes, that's it"
The air changed.
The very atmosphere began to quake.
"Hmm?"
For the first time during the battle,
Raymond looked genuinely surprised.
Humphrey's body levitated upwards.
Blood dripped from his chin.
His shattered body should have been incapable of movement.
Yet he stood.
A low growl escaped his lips.
Not the growl of a man.
The growl of a beast.
A brilliant blue light erupted from his back.
SHIIIIIIING!
Two enormous metallic wings burst outward.
The shockwave blasted rubbles from the way.
The wings weren't made of feathers.
They were forged from glowing blue metal, each feather resembling a razor-sharp blade. Ancient runes glowed across their surface.
At their center was the majestic design of a Griffin.
The king of beasts.
The ruler of the skies.
Humphrey had summoned his Spirit Weapon.
The moment they appeared, the battlefield trembled.
The spirit energy pouring from Humphrey multiplied several times over as blue lightning danced across the metallic feathers.
The sky itself seemed to acknowledge the birth of a predator.
Raymond's yellow aura flared instinctively.
"So you've finally summoned it."
Sir Raymond laughed, his excitement growing.
Humphrey slowly lifted his head.
His blue eyes now glowed like stars.
"I was saving it..."
The metallic wings unfolded completely.
Thousands of blade-like feathers reflected the light.
"...for your execution."
BOOOOOOM!
A storm exploded outward.
Sir Raymond dug his feet into the ground as hurricane-force winds blasted against him.
The Griffin Wings weren't merely weapons, they enhanced every aspect of their wielder.
Speed, strength, power.
Humphrey vanished.
Raymond's eyes widened.
Too fast.
BANG!!
A metallic wing slammed into Sir Raymond's side.
He felt the impact.
Sir Raymond was launched across the battlefield.
Before he could recover..
SLASH!
One razor feather sliced across his shoulder.
SLASH!
Another cut his thigh.
SLASH!
Another carved a deep wound across his chest.
Blood sprayed out like a fountain.
For the first time in the battle... Sir Raymond was being overwhelmed.
Humphrey moved like a phantom as blue streak danced across the battlefield.
Every flap of his wings generated devastating shockwaves with killing intent.
Sir Raymond blocked a strike.
The impact broke the ground beneath him.
He counterattacked.
Humphrey dodged effortlessly.
The Wings seemed to predict every movement.
Another feather shot forward.
WHOOSH!
Raymond tilted his head.
The feather missed his face by mere inches.
Multiple trees behind him exploded into dust.
The fight had subconsciously pushed them towards the forest.
Sir Raymond expression darkened.
"Interesting."
Yellow energy erupted around him.
His aura transformed into a blazing inferno.
The battlefield was suddenly divided.
Blue against yellow waves lighting up both sides.
Humphrey shot into the sky.
The metallic wings spread across the sky casting a Shadow like a divine beast.
Blue lightning gathered around every feather.
The clouds began spiraling.
The image of a colossal spectral Griffin appeared behind him. Humphrey's spirit beast.
Its golden eyes stared directly at Raymond.
The pressure alone crushed multiple trees.
The ground pressed down creating a massive crater.
Raymond looked upward.
A grin slowly spread across his face.
"A strong opponent, maybe this strip isn't as bad as I thought"
Humphrey raised one arm.
Every metallic feather detached from his wings.
Thousands..Tens of thousands and more.
A storm of blades hovered above the battlefield.
Each one crackling with enough power to destroy a fortress.
Raymond's grin widened.
His yellow aura exploded.
The earth beneath him sank hundreds of feet.
"Come then, Humphrey!!!"
His excitement skyrocketting.
"Show me the power from your hatred"
Humphrey's eyes burned with fury.
The Griffin Spirit beast opened its beak and released a deafening roar.
And then....
The storm of feathers descended.
