CHAPTER 67 THE POWER OF A TRANSCENDANT 2
Humphrey's life was going smoothly.
The day went well and the night was even going better due to the celebration.
He was smiling, laughing, drinking and merrying with his friends and family.
Everything when well, until it all crumbled right in front of his eyes.
The destruction unfolded in less than ten minutes.
Everything was lost.
And the culprit..well the culprit didn't even run, fled or hid from the scene.
Instead he strolled in like taking an everyday walk.
And worst of all, he showed no signs of remorse, like it was a normal thing for him.
I'm gonna kill him.....
I'm going to KILL HIM....
I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!....
A violent blue aura exploded around his body, whipping his hair wildly in the wind.
His eyes were bloodshot, filled with grief and hatred so intense it seemed capable of burning the world around him.
Even with all his injuries, he still had more power to spend.
BOOM!
An explosion of energy erupted from Humphrey, creating a crater .
Sir Raymond smirked, the same dangerous glint flashed through his eyes.
BANG!
The battlefield exploded as Humphrey's fist slammed into Sir Raymond's face.
Sir Raymond was launched through dozens of rock formations before regaining control with a drift.
But Humphrey was already there.
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
They both engaged in a wild fist fight.
Every blow from Humphrey was fueled by loss, griff and fury.
The sky seems to split apart under the force of their collision.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Blue and yellow streaks danced across the battlefield, like divine beast fighting for dominance.
Raymond blocked a devastating kick and countered with a punch to Humphrey's stomach.
BANG!
CRACK!
Humphrey felt several ribs shattered instantly. Blood spur from his mouth.
Yet he smiled.
A terrifying smile.
Raymond frowned.
Humphrey grabbed Raymond's arm.
"You'll feel everything they felt."
The blue aura erupted into a massive storm.
Thousands of energy blades formed behind him.
"ARGH!!!!!!!...
Him screamed.
The blades descended....and the battlefield disappeared beneath a sea of destruction.
BOOOOOOM!
For a moment, everything was swallowed by blue light.
Then...
SHRIIINK....
A small yellow sun burst forth.
Raymond emerged unharmed.
His aura had doubled.
The pressure alone forced Humphrey back.
"This is good, come on, entertain me some more!"
Raymond raised his hand.
A sphere of yellow energy formed around his fit
Humphrey stared at the attack.
It was condensed.
It felt like death drawing near.
Yet he rose, slowly and painful.
His body was broken.
His vision fading.
But he stood, defiant.
For everyone Raymond had slaughtered.
The blue aura condensed around his right fist also, glowing like a star.
"I don't need to be stronger."
Blood streamed down his face.
"I only need one strike."
They both charged.
The battlefield vanished beneath the collision.
The world turned white.
For several seconds, nothing existed except blue and yellow.
Then..
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!....
A pillar of energy pierced the heavens.
The clouds were erased.
The earth split in half.
The shockwave traveled across and beyond the battlefield.
When the light finally faded, only one man remained standing.
Sir Raymond.
His breathing was ragged.
His leather armor was ripped, with bruises on his face and body.
Yet he stood, looking unhurt.
Several steps away, Humphrey knelt on the ground.
His body was fading, with visible pain and fury in his eyes.
The wind howled past them.
"Don't tell me you're done yet"
Sir Raymond said with a mocking tone.
Humphrey's body collapsed.
The battlefield fell silent.
