Further along the forest trail, the group discovered another ruin.
This one was far larger.
Broken pillars surrounded a massive stone platform that had partially collapsed into the earth.
Lake stepped onto it.
The moment he did, the ground beneath his feet trembled.
Stone slabs shifted aside.
From beneath the platform rose a massive suit of armor.
Thick plates layered together like the skin of a mountain.
The metal was dark and heavy, engraved with giant runes.
Lake stepped closer.
"Please tell me this is what I think it is."
It was.
Titanplate of the Colossus.
Armor once worn by ancient giants.
Lake slipped it on carefully.
The moment the armor locked into place, the ground beneath him cracked slightly.
His strength multiplied instantly.
The armor granted him immense power:
• It made the wearer nearly unkillable.• It multiplied physical strength tenfold.• And each step caused the earth to tremble beneath their feet.
Lake took one step forward.
The forest floor shook lightly.
He grinned.
"Oh yeah," he said. "I like this."
But Lake's greatest power still came from his magic.
He raised his hand slowly.
Time around them rippled.
A falling leaf froze midair… then rewound backward to the branch it had fallen from.
His spell.
Chrono Reversal.
With it, he could rewind time a few seconds.
Even fatal mistakes could be undone.
