Stefan Redborne is the first hero of Estalcia, the first ever to wield the Sword of Estalcia. He was known to have 800 concubines but only had two children with one of them, whom he loved more than the others. His son would go on to become the second hero, and his grandson would become the third hero, and so on.
Bernice Lou Redborne is the mother of Stefan Redborne's two children. She was his most beloved among his 800 concubines and the only one he ever officially married.
