Maya's POV
The words hit me like ice water. Sebastian stood there, calm as anything, declaring I was his fiancée while my world spun off its axis.
His fiancée? When exactly had that happened? Last I checked, I'd hired him for one evening of fake romance, not a lifetime commitment.
The sales staff around us practically glowed with excitement, whispering among themselves about the romantic proposal they thought they'd witnessed. My boss materialized beside me, practically vibrating with joy.
"Maya, that was incredible! One of our biggest sales ever, and you closed it beautifully!"
I blinked at her, my thoughts still scrambled.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"The gown! That piece was worth more than most people's cars, and you made it look effortless." She beamed at me with genuine pride. "Take the rest of the day off. You've more than earned it."
