Lucy's PoV
Jason's constant pacing is distracting, but since Vanessa isn't complaining, I did my best to ignore it.
I still can't believe they didn't put a tracker on those vials, despite how precious they were.
I turned to Vanessa, "Is there anything I can help with?"
Jason stopped pacing. He tried to give me a small smile, and I forced myself to return one.
It's hard to smile when everything I came here for was gone with the wind because of these two idiots.
Vanessa shook her head. "Not really, she has just one hour left. After that, the Council is free to send the Region security after her."
"But Alpha Rhys united the Eastern Region. Do you think they can defy him openly?"
Vanessa shot me an irritated look. "Did you do nothing but play princess all day to your Daddy?"
Of course not.
Father was raising me to be his heir. I didn't even have the time to play Princess.
