Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Marriage Day

Chapter 6: Marriage Day

Rose said with some concern, "Isn't it too fast to hold the wedding in three days? If the Miller Family and the Sen Family deny the wedding, it might affect your reputation."

Jerry smiled faintly: "They can't wait for Lele to marry me, they will definitely come. You should send someone to arrange the wedding as soon as possible and send someone to deliver the invitations."

Rose nodded, looking at Jerry with a complicated expression: "You're not really going to marry Lele, are you?"

"Impossible." Jerry shook his head decisively.

"I find that kind of despicable woman disgusting."

"Besides, I might already have someone I like." He stared straight into Rose's beautiful eyes.

Rose looked uneasy and gave a faint smile: "I'm going to work now."

Jerry couldn't help but grin and continued flipping through the documents. He circled all the shareholders who opposed him at the meeting in his notebook.

At 8 p.m., Jerry prepared to leave the company.

Rose hesitated for a moment, then whispered, "How about you come to my house for dinner? I'll cook for you, and we can talk about the wedding and company matters. There are still some things I haven't finished dealing with."

Jerry readily agreed.

At Rose's home, she was cooking in the kitchen while Jerry was looking at documents on the sofa.

He couldn't help but smile; this peaceful and warm life was very healing to his wounded heart.

The two were chatting on the sofa when Jerry suddenly received a file from a private investigator. When she opened it, he found two disheveled bodies rolling around on the bed.

The video is a bit blurry, but you can tell that one person is Jacob and the other is Lele.

The two were also lying together, discussing how to seize Jerry's company assets after their marriage.

Jerry's face darkened.

Rose said angrily, "You bitch, you're about to marry, and you're still having an affair with another man."

Jerry sent the video to Rose: "On our wedding day, release this video. I'll ruin their reputation."

Rose nodded emphatically, picked up her computer, and began editing key footage, focusing on close-ups of Jacob and Lele's faces.

Halfway through the haircut, her face flushed slightly, and when she looked at the handsome Jerry beside her, her heart pounded.

A lone man and a lone woman watching this kind of video together...

Jerry noticed her unusual expression and smiled, saying, "Are you shy?"

"No way." Rose rolled her eyes at Jerry: "Don't think such nonsense."

...

The next day, Jerry left the hotel and returned to the company.

Rose said with a solemn expression, "All the employees in the purchasing department have gone on strike, and many employees in other departments have also gone on strike, all demanding that Ena come back."

"The original head of the purchasing department couldn't control the situation. Nobody listened to her, and it was already affecting the company's normal operations. Some previously agreed-upon partners were put on hold."

"It's alright." Jerry smiled faintly.

"Let them go on strike first, and after the wedding, we can use that as a reason to fire them without severance pay."

"Have Miss Shan (the rehired purchasing department head) collect evidence of Ena's abuse of power over the past few years, send it to the Ministry of Justice, and then let her recruit new employees."

Rose nodded.

Afterwards, Jerry called each of his business partners and friends he had made over the years to invite them to his wedding.

He wanted to invite the elites of Kingsland to witness the complete disgrace and ruin of Jacob and Lele.

'I made more than a dozen phone calls, and although they all said they would attend, their tone was very rude to me.'

Because of the Miller Family, he offended many people.

Those people used to be close friends with Jerry, and they were extremely disappointed in his behavior of fawning over his family.

The next call was to his best friend, Tim Roy, who was also the deputy director of the Kingsland Police Bureau.

Tim's tone was very unpleasant: "Which family member's mess did you clean up this time?"

"I'm done talking to you. Don't come to me with this kind of thing again."

"Hey, don't hang it up. I'm getting married tomorrow. I'll send the invitation to your house later. You can come over this weekend to support me," Jerry said with a smile.

"Hehe... You've been licking for so long, and you've finally gotten what you wanted. Jerry, you're really something. The head of the JM Group, you've managed to lick a woman from a small family into marriage." Tim said sarcastically.

"Dude, could you please pull up Lele's hotel booking records for me? I need them." Jerry said with a smile.

"Don't worry, I won't let you work for nothing. I can help you to get promoted to the chief position within a month."

"Are you out of your mind? These two things sound so absurd." Tim's voice deepened.

"Last time you scolded me for your second sister's sake, and now you still have the nerve to ask me for help? You're really something."

"Hehe... I'm counting on you. I'll give you a good show tomorrow." Jerry laughed and hung up the phone.

In the afternoon, several of the older women stormed into the office, the eldest scolding, "You're getting married tomorrow, why aren't you answering your phone? Don't you need us to help you with the wedding arrangements?"

Jerry said calmly, "No need to trouble you, just let the people below do it."

The second sister scolded, "Since you want to get married, give the shares to your brother Jacob first, so they don't become joint property after marriage. Lele refuses."

"And since you're getting married, aren't you going to give us a gift?" the third sister said righteously.

"The 50 million investment in the RM Group should be finalized."

"Otherwise, none of us will attend your wedding."

Jerry smiled. They had indeed come to ask for benefits. He said calmly, "These things can be discussed, but we'll have to wait until after the wedding."

Upon hearing this, the group became enraged and vowed not to attend the wedding, letting Jerry lose face.

They even started smashing and damaging things.

Jerry said calmly, "If you don't want to come, then don't. I won't force you." After saying that, he asked the security guards to take them away.

He was certain that the Miller Family's current prosperity and standing were entirely the result of his contributions.

'If they fail to attend my wedding, it will lead to speculation that we've had a falling out. Consequently, they will lose respect in the eyes of others.'

Therefore, they will definitely attend the weddings on their own to showcase their image as caring older sisters and excellent parents.

The four older sisters were furious, but they had no choice but to leave.

Soon, Lele also came to the door.

She coldly tossed down a marriage contract: "You're something else. I've revised this contract a bit; the requirements aren't as many anymore. You should be content."

"Sign it, then come with me to buy wedding necessities, and come to my house to discuss how to hold the wedding tomorrow." Jerry glanced at it and a cold smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

'She gets 15% of the shares, can't touch her after marriage, the children have to call Jacob "Dad," and he gets 800,000 yuan in pocket money every month…'

How dare a slut who's pregnant with another man's child make such a demand of me?

Under Lele's shocked gaze, he tore up the engagement contract and then notified the security guards.

Lele retorted angrily, "What do you mean? Is this how you want to marry me?"

Jerry said calmly, "I've already sent the wedding schedule and details to your home."

"Just come over tomorrow, and a professional wedding team will help you with the wedding preparations."

"I've seen through you. You only married me because you didn't want to go to jail, right?" Lele said with red eyes.

"Do you believe I won't attend the wedding, I'll call the police, and ruin your reputation and send you to jail!"

Seeing that the security guards had arrived, Jerry smiled and said, "Suit yourself. If you want to call the police, go ahead and do it now."

Lele screamed in anger: "Do you know how important marriage is to a woman? How could you treat me so lightly?"

Jerry ignored her and signaled the security guards to take her away. The wedding was held the next day, with countless guests and more than a dozen media reporters in attendance.

The Miller Family members did indeed come obediently, but they showed Jerry no respect whatsoever. Even though he was the groom, They loudly ordered him around to do things.

Jacob, however, was surrounded by his sisters and stayed in the hotel lobby enjoying the air conditioning. He seemed more like the host of the wedding banquet.

At this moment, a convoy of luxury cars arrived. The door of the Cullinan at the head of the convoy slowly opened, and the bride, Lele, looked at Jerry, who was coming forward to greet her, with a cold gaze. She remained seated inside the car, showing no intention of getting out.

Mr. and Mrs. Sen walked over with grim faces.

The originally joyous atmosphere vanished completely at this moment.

The guests were stunned, and swallowed the congratulatory words that were about to be uttered. An awkward silence fell over the room.

Robert and Laxmi immediately became anxious.

Robert yelled at Jerry and raised his hand to slap him; "What have you done now to upset the bride? Apologize right now!"

"I knew you were unreliable. You've made such a big mess and even upset your in-laws." Laxmi retorted without any politeness.

At this moment, Lele's father took out a marriage contract and slowly said, "Jerry, if you want Lele to get off the Car, you must sign this prenuptial agreement."

Upon hearing this, Lele turned her head away, not wanting to look at Jerry at all. The scene fell silent instantly, and all eyes were on Jerry.
