(BLUE'S POV)
"I'm doing this... for Liam and Mason. If you die, Liam and Helen could remain cursed forever. And Mason..." He hesitated before finishing quietly, "Mason would never forgive himself."
There was something else driving Haelorian—something he refused to admit.
And whatever that secret was, I was going to uncover it.
Because I wasn't about to stand by and watch Henry get dragged into even more problems. My best friend had suffered enough. He had carried this burden alone for four months, bleeding in silence, dying in secret. I wouldn't let him walk into another trap disguised as salvation.
I stepped forward, positioning myself between Henry and Haelorian.
"Henry," I said, my voice low and serious. "I need you to listen to me."
Henry's dark eyes met mine, glassy with pain and exhaustion.
"I am desperate," I continued, my voice cracking. "I would do anything to save your life. Anything. You know that. But I need to know—are you willing to rebond with Haelorian?"
