Chapter 27 - THE WEDDING

The palace of Sun Land had never looked more beautiful.

From the early morning, preparations had begun.

Golden banners flowed from the tall towers, dancing gently in the soft wind. The entire palace was decorated with flowers—white, blue, and soft pink—arranged carefully across corridors, balconies, and the grand courtyard.

Magical lights floated in the air like tiny stars, glowing softly even in daylight.

It wasn't just a celebration.

It was a moment the entire kingdom had been waiting for.

Their king.

And their queen.

Sun and Yuki.

---

On The Morning of the Wedding

Sun stood alone in a large room inside the palace.

He wore royal attire—deep black and gold, designed perfectly to match his presence. The fabric moved slightly as he walked, and a golden emblem rested on his chest.

But for once—

He wasn't thinking about power.

Or responsibility.

Or war.

He stood still, looking out the window.

"…So this is it."

His voice was quiet.

A soft knock came at the door.

"Come in."

Ard entered, dressed formally, but still carrying his usual calm expression.

"You're ready?"

Sun gave a small smile.

"Not sure."

Ard chuckled lightly.

"That's normal."

He stepped closer.

"You've faced armies without hesitation… and now you're nervous?"

Sun sighed.

"This is different."

Ard nodded.

"Yes."

"…Because this matters more."

Silence.

Then Sun smiled faintly.

"Yeah."

Ard placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You'll be fine."

Sun looked at him.

"…Thanks."

---

In another part of the palace—

Yuki stood in front of a large mirror.

Her dress flowed down like a dream—pure white, soft as clouds, decorated with delicate patterns that shimmered faintly in the light.

Her hair was gently tied, with a few strands falling naturally around her face.

She looked at herself.

Then—

Pouted.

"…Why am I nervous?"

A group of palace attendants stood behind her, smiling softly.

"You look perfect, Lady Yuki."

She crossed her arms slightly.

"I know."

Then paused.

"…But still."

She placed her hand on her chest.

Her heart was beating fast.

"…I hope he doesn't faint."

The attendants giggled.

"He won't."

Yuki smiled.

"…He better not."

Then she looked at herself one more time.

And whispered softly—

"…I'm really getting married."

Her cheeks turned slightly red.

---

The Ceremony Begins

The grand courtyard of the palace was filled with people.

Soldiers.

Citizens.

Commanders.

Everyone gathered to witness the wedding of their king.

The sky was clear.

The sunlight warm.

At the center—

A beautifully decorated platform stood.

Flowers surrounded it.

Soft magical lights floated around it.

Music began to play.

Soft.

Gentle.

And then—

Sun walked forward.

The crowd grew silent.

Every eye turned toward him.

He stood at the altar.

Calm.

But his heart—

Racing.

Then—

The music changed.

Everyone turned.

And Yuki appeared.

For a moment—

Time stopped.

She walked slowly.

Gracefully.

Her dress flowing with each step.

Her eyes—

Locked onto him.

Sun's breath caught.

"…Wow."

He couldn't say anything else.

She reached him.

And smiled.

"You look like you forgot how to talk."

He exhaled softly.

"…You look… unreal."

She giggled.

"Good answer."

---

They stood facing each other.

The entire kingdom watching.

But for them—

It felt like they were alone.

Just the two of them.

The officiator began the ceremony.

But their eyes never left each other.

"Do you, Sun, accept Yuki as your partner for life… to protect her, love her, and stand beside her in every moment?"

Sun didn't hesitate.

"I do."

His voice was steady.

But filled with emotion.

"Do you, Yuki, accept Sun as your partner for life… to support him, love him, and walk beside him no matter what comes?"

She smiled softly.

"I do."

Then—

She added quietly—

"Always."

---

The officiator stepped back slightly.

"Would you like to say anything to each other?"

Sun looked at her.

Then took her hands.

"I don't know where to start."

She smiled.

"Try your best."

He chuckled softly.

Then spoke—

"I've fought battles… faced death… lost people…"

His voice softened.

"But meeting you…"

"…was the best thing that ever happened to me."

Her eyes began to shine.

"You stayed with me… when I was broken."

"You made me laugh… when I forgot how."

"And you loved me…"

"…when I didn't even know how to love myself."

He stepped slightly closer.

"So I promise…"

"…no matter what happens…"

"I'll always be with you."

Her tears fell softly.

She laughed a little through them.

"…You're not supposed to make me cry."

He smiled.

"Too late."

Now—

It was her turn.

She held his hands tighter.

"I met you when I was a child."

She smiled softly.

"And I never imagined…"

"…that one day…"

"…you would become my everything."

Her voice trembled slightly.

"You're annoying…"

He blinked.

"…What?"

She laughed through tears.

"You don't listen…"

"You act cool…"

"You risk your life too much…"

He sighed.

"This doesn't sound like a vow."

She leaned closer.

"But…"

Her voice softened.

"You're also kind…"

"Strong…"

"And the person I trust the most."

She looked directly into his eyes.

"So I promise…"

"…to stay with you…"

"…to take care of you…"

"…and to love you…"

"…forever."

Silence.

Then—

Applause.

Soft at first.

Then louder.

Filling the entire courtyard.

---

The officiator smiled.

"You may seal your promise."

Sun stepped closer.

Yuki smiled softly.

And without hesitation—

They kissed.

Not rushed.

Not shy.

But deep.

Warm.

Full of everything they had been through together.

The crowd cheered loudly.

Flowers fell from above.

Magic lights sparkled around them.

And in that moment—

It wasn't just a wedding.

It was a promise.

The palace turned into a festival.

Music filled the air.

People laughed.

Food was served everywhere.

Lights danced across the night sky.

Sun and Yuki walked together among everyone.

Holding hands.

Smiling.

Talking.

At one point—

Yuki pulled him toward the center.

"Dance with me."

"…Now?"

"Yes."

"I don't dance."

"You do now."

She dragged him anyway.

Music slowed.

They stood facing each other.

Then moved.

Slowly.

Naturally.

She rested her head on his shoulder.

"This feels nice."

He nodded.

"…Yeah."

---

Later that night—

They stood alone on the palace balcony.

The celebration still continued behind them.

But here—

It was quiet.

Peaceful.

Yuki leaned against him.

"So…"

"…Mr. King."

He sighed.

"…Mrs. Queen."

She smiled.

"I like that."

He looked at her.

"…Me too."

She turned toward him.

"…We're really married now."

He nodded.

"Yeah."

She stepped closer.

"Then…"

"…you're mine forever."

He smirked slightly.

"Always was."

She laughed softly.

Then kissed him again.

Gentle.

Warm.

Perfect.

---

That night—

The palace slept peacefully.

The kingdom was safe.

And in one quiet room—

Sun and Yuki sat together.

No crowns.

No titles.

Just themselves.

She rested her head on his chest.

"Today was perfect."

He wrapped his arms around her.

"…It was."

She looked up at him.

"…Promise me something."

"What?"

"…No matter what happens…"

"…we stay like this."

He smiled softly.

"…We will."

She closed her eyes.

"…Forever?"

He kissed her forehead.

"Forever."

And under the silent sky—

Their story didn't end.

It only became something greater.

A love—

That even time could not break.
