"This will be a surprise for you," Alaric Davenport said mysteriously.
He stood up, walked to the door, and opened it. A familiar middle-aged man then entered.
"Mr. Dalton?" Rosalind Lowell was a little surprised. She really couldn't understand why Alaric Davenport had called Mr. Dalton here.
'Are they going to talk about a collaboration at a time like this?'
"Rosalind."
Rosalind Lowell froze again, a little bewildered. 'He always addressed me respectfully as "Miss Lowell" before, so why the sudden switch to "Rosalind"?'
"Hello, Mr. Dalton."
Alaric Davenport put a hand on her shoulder. "You don't need to be so tense. This is good news for you."
"Back when I was investigating your father's case, I always felt like something was off. Do you remember when I told you he had passed away?"
Rosalind Lowell nodded blankly. "I remember. Isn't that the case?"
"Someone deliberately concealed the truth back then. It explains why I couldn't even find a body."
