"Where are the two children and my father?"
"No need to rush. Why don't you sit down so we can talk?" Yasmine Kimball sat on the sofa, smiling brazenly. "Let's you and I have a nice mother-son chat."
"Watch your words."
"Sit."
Alaric Davenport let out a cold laugh. "This is my house. Since when is it your place to invite me to sit?"
Alaric Davenport sat down. "It seems the person in charge is still refusing to show their face. I don't want to waste my breath on you two."
"Mr. Davenport, at the end of the day, we are father-in-law and son-in-law," Herman Lowell said, sitting down with a smirk. "We can't be that unlikable, can we?"
"If you already know you're unlikable, you don't need to say it out loud and embarrass yourself. I've never considered you my father-in-law. You never treated Rosalind like a daughter, and she never saw you as a real father. Which you aren't, by the way. If you had an ounce of humanity, shouldn't you have treated her well?"
