Rosalind Lowell reached out, placed the food in her mouth, and closed her eyes, savoring the taste.
The delicate sweetness melted in her mouth, growing more intense with each passing moment. Then, she slowly opened her eyes.
She jumped, startled by the person she saw before her.
"What's going on?"
The man she thought was Michael was now Alaric Davenport.
"You… you…"
He gave her a slight smile. "Are you happy it's me?"
Rosalind Lowell nodded, stunned. "I am happy, yes, but… shouldn't it have been Michael?"
"Look behind you," Alaric Davenport said, pausing for a moment. "Get ready."
She slowly turned around. The people behind her all said, "Happy birthday!"
She gasped. Elsa Ainsworth, Skylar Morrison, Keith Thorne, Aurora Ainsworth… all the people she was close to were here.
Her eyes suddenly stung with tears, and she couldn't stop herself from crying.
