"Who were those men?" Alaric Davenport's voice was cold. 'How dare they try to kidnap someone in broad daylight.'
"The two of them committed suicide. It'll take some time to identify them."
"How's the charity project coming along?"
"It's almost ready. Just wait for the show to begin."
"Mm," Alaric Davenport paused, thinking for a moment before speaking again. "After this is over, clear my schedule for half a month. I'm taking her on a honeymoon."
"I have to say, you've really changed," Ethan Lockwood remarked.
Alaric Davenport looked up at him. "Is that a bad thing?"
Ethan Lockwood shrugged and set the documents aside. "I think it's great. Go with the flow, give love a try. It might just surprise you in ways you don't expect."
"I get surprises every day."
Ethan Lockwood raised an eyebrow, turned, and walked out of the room.
He thought for a moment, then made a call. "Want to go out to eat?"
