Rosalind Lowell shook her head. "Forget it. I don't think I have much of an appetite today. I'll eat something else."
"Have the doctor take a look," Alaric Davenport said.
She opened her mouth, but could only nod. Afraid that something might be wrong, she figured it was safer to get checked.
The doctor came over, examined her wound, and disinfected it. "Young Madam, have you been feeling persistently nauseous, or experiencing any chest tightness?"
Rosalind Lowell shook her head. "No, it's just that the smell of grease makes me feel a bit nauseous."
The doctor found this unusual and examined her again. "Everything appears normal. Young Madam, you shouldn't put yourself under too much stress."
Rosalind Lowell let out a soft sigh. "Okay, maybe I'm just on edge."
Rosalind Lowell glanced sheepishly at the two men beside her. In truth, they both seemed more nervous than she was.
"Alaric..."
Alaric Davenport turned to her, but just then, his phone rang.
