Su Yaoyao slowly awoke, stretching lazily. Her movements were as light and graceful as a cat just waking from a nap.
She raised a hand to rub her eyes, and a faint smile graced her lips. It was like the first peach blossom of spring—bright and enchanting, instantly dispelling the morning's lethargy.
"I feel like I slept especially well last night," she murmured, her voice soft and carrying the low huskiness unique to the morning.
Su Yaoyao turned her head to look at both sides of the bed. The two cubs were gone again.
She sighed softly, but an indulgent smile played on her lips. 'They probably went to find their master again,' she thought.
Su Yaoyao threw back the covers and wiggled her ankle. She was delighted to find the wound had healed quite a bit; when she tested it, she could just barely put weight on her foot.
This discovery made her quite happy, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
