"A bracelet."
Lianne opened her phone's photo album, found the picture, and showed it to Seth Sinclair. "A bracelet with two red jade pendants hanging from it."
She looked at him, her eyes filled with hope. "Do you know where it is?"
"Why else would I have told you to get in the car?" Seth Sinclair said. "Just for a joyride?"
Lianne blinked her long, thick lashes.
'It's not entirely out of the question,' she thought. 'He might just be showing off his top-of-the-line supercar.'
"That bracelet was left to me by my family. It's incredibly meaningful. Could you please give it back to me?" Lianne asked, her words gentle and her bright eyes holding a suitable plea.
Seth Sinclair still had that same lazy, indifferent air about him, leaning back against the leather seat and watching her nonchalantly.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?"
"Not yet." Lianne shook her head. She had been on her way to get something to eat when she ran into him.
