"Alright, it's getting late. Go ahead and clock out," Ivy Holden said with a smile. "Don't spend all your time working overtime. You should be out dating or spending time with your family. Go out shopping, enjoy a good meal—that's nice too."
"Thanks, Boss. But none of that brings me the same joy as counting money." Penelope Quinn gathered her folder and breezed out of the room.
After a full day of work, Ivy Holden was genuinely exhausted. But no matter how tired she was, there were still things that needed her attention.
"Hey, Mr. June, are you asleep yet?" Ivy Holden called June Grant on her way home.
"Not yet. Why are you calling me at this hour? Did something happen to Grandma Sterling? Or Grandpa Holden…?"
"They're both fine. I'm calling about something else," Ivy Holden said, cutting her off.
"What is it? Tell me."
"How has Auntie Grant been lately?" Ivy Holden asked.
