The call connected quickly. It was Brooke Morrison's voice. "Son, what's up?"
"Mom, I need to know—does the Morrison Group have enough money for me to support a wife? If Starlight Entertainment goes bankrupt, will I still have the funds to support one?"
Ivy Holden's eyes widened in shock. 'You've got to be kidding me! How can you be so shameless as to ask a question like that?!'
"Son, did Ivy agree to marry you?!" Even over the phone, Brooke Morrison's voice was overflowing with excitement.
Ivy Holden's eyes nearly popped out of her head. 'What is going on? How did she find out so quickly?!'
"Ivy's worried that if I don't go to work these next few days, I won't earn enough to support her for the rest of her life. I have to put her mind at ease, don't I?"
