"Alright, if you're ready, then I can rest easy." Heige leaned over and gave Shi Li a light peck on the cheek, then got up and went off to do something.
Perhaps he went to make arrangements for the military camp.
The nearby camp was just a place for the troops to set up, while the true military base was in a more remote and undisclosed location.
Naturally, Heige wouldn't take them to a place like that.
They would be too conspicuous a target, and it would be easy to expose the base's exact location.
Shi Li didn't overthink it, trusting Heige's arrangements completely.
The group quickly packed their things, got into the car with Heige, and drove through a dense forest before the view suddenly opened up.
"I've arranged instructors for you two. As for you," Heige's finger pointed at Shi Li, "you're with me."
Unlike his usual gentleness with her, Heige was now so stern it was as if he didn't even know her.
His change in demeanor stunned all three of them.
