"No!" Shi Li hurriedly pressed her hands against Jensen's chest, even though she stood no chance of holding back a man of his size.
Driven by a primal instinct to protect her child, Shi Li began to struggle.
"Are you trying to die?" But Jensen was in no state to think about anything else.
Here, no creature had ever defied him before.
"Can't we try another way?" Shi Li asked, her tone almost placating.
"Another way?" Jensen paused. Noticing that Shi Li was genuinely trembling, he belatedly started to calm down.
'I guess I really was a bit too aggressive just now.'
'Seeing how she's protecting her abdomen, she must want to keep this child from the bottom of her heart.'
'But a man can't be expected to just hold it in until he bursts, can he?!'
It was strange. He hadn't had his memories for long, but he'd already received five or six tributes, if not more than ten.
Jensen had never felt this strange pull toward any of the other tributes.
An uncontrollable urge.
