Liu Shiting nodded, but she was already thinking about something else.
A short while later, Mr. Liu returned.
During dinner, Mrs. Liu was the first to ask, "Honey, have you heard of Zijin Mountain Villa?"
Mr. Liu paused, his chopsticks hovering in mid-air. "What villa?" he asked, surprised.
"Zijin Mountain Villa," Liu Shiting chimed in. "My roommate says her dad lives there."
Mr. Liu gave her a suspicious look. "Is this the same roommate whose father's company you asked me to look into last time?"
Liu Shiting replied, "Mhm, why?"
Mr. Liu put down his chopsticks and thought for a moment before saying, "Zijin Mountain Villa... That's not a place for just anyone. Years ago, a mysterious figure bought out half the mountain and built a private estate. Outsiders only know it as Zijin Mountain Villa. Very few people know who actually owns it."
Mrs. Liu was stunned. "Half a mountain? How much must that have cost?"
