"Where are they?"
Seeing Nina Donovan's stance soften, Hannah Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief. "I'll take you. Should we call for some backup?"
'Call for backup? What for?'
Nina Donovan was just going to watch the show; she had no intention of actually saving anyone.
Since they were the male and female leads, they were bound to get out of this jam safely.
Nothing bad would happen to them.
Nina Donovan stuffed all her books into her desk.
'I have to be back for the evening self-study session at seven, after all.'
She waved her hand dismissively. "No need. I'm more than enough on my own."
Hannah Lawrence was a little stunned.
'Just one person?'
'Those guys are really vicious.'
She grew timid. "Then... what about me...?"
"Just take me there. You can head right back once we get there. Let's go."
Nina Donovan took the lead and walked ahead, her steps somewhat impatient.
Hannah Lawrence bit her lip.
She watched Nina Donovan's retreating figure.
