'This Doctor Lanuo must stay up late a lot, too,' she guessed. 'He probably doesn't get enough sleep.' Compared to Alex's strong, powerful build, he was much more slender. He seemed like the type who would skip meals for work, or maybe just wasn't very interested in food.

Gu Ning tilted her head back slightly, trying her best to open her mouth wider. The medical examination light above her was uncomfortably bright, forcing her to close her eyes.
"You're recovering very well," she heard Lanuo say beside her ear. Then, she felt another shadow fall over her and caught Alex's scent.
The two Beastmen leaned close to her face, each using a cotton swab to collect a bit of her saliva.
