The spiciness was so intense it made them break into a sweat instantly, an incredible warmth spreading through their bodies.
Ming Lingyi looked at her brother and asked with a grin, "How is it? Tastes great, doesn't it?"
Ming Chengyu nodded again and again. "Delicious!" His chopsticks didn't pause as he spoke, fishing another batch of white radish out of the spicy red broth.
"Eat radishes in winter and ginger in summer," as the saying goes. One bite of the radish proved it was soaked in flavor. The clean sweetness of the daikon mixed with the fragrant heat of the spicy pot, creating an entirely new and satisfying texture.
Ming Lingyi couldn't help but laugh at the sight.
For a while, the only sounds at the table were the crisp clinks of chopsticks against bowls, the BUBBLING of the roiling soup, and a chorus of satisfied sighs followed by murmurs of "Delicious!"
