Winston Aldridge stared blankly for a few seconds, his mouth slightly agape. He blinked a couple of times and asked hesitantly, "What's this...?"
Mr. Chubby White beamed, holding his phone out a little further. He explained again, "Scan this. It's for your compensation."
Seeing this, Winston Aldridge's curiosity was piqued.
He pulled out his phone and gave it a quick scan. Within seconds, money had indeed been deposited into his account.
What's more, the sender was listed as the website's official account.
"You guys really are from maintenance..."
Winston Aldridge's eyes widened, filled with disbelief.
People standing near him also looked over. They saw the money on his phone, and the transaction note even said "compensation."
This was basically solid proof that the website maintenance staff were real.
Doesn't that mean the website really did have a virus, and the chat logs Katherine Kane had shown were fake?
"Miss Kane, I wonder where you got those chat logs?"
