Chapter 1 - One: Party Girl

Party Girls Never Die

"What the hell?" Elena mutters while she stares at the door to her new home, wide open in the middle of the night. Her plan was to sneak in through the window of her room the same way she snuck out to go to that party. But now that she's back, she's seeing that the front door is open, and she might have only spent five days with The Smiths thus far, but this is not like them.

Now she can't help but wonder, did they do this on purpose because they know she snuck out, have they called the police to search for the sixteen-year-old rebellious tyrant? She doesn't know; all she knows at this point is that it's game over, there's no point in walking through the window anymore.

She moves forward in her gold sequenced party dress. She doesn't care if she's gotten caught at this point; something weird is happening right now.

People might say it's weird that a beautiful girl would be this rebellious; she's supposed to be calm, peaceful, a whole debutante with the way she looks.

And her looks are very peculiar to the public eye.

For one, she looks like a Disney princess.

Her skin is a deep brown, which glows under the bright sun; her lips are full and luscious; people get distracted just by looking at her; she's one of the first black girls people have seen with bright brown eyes and natural golden blonde hair. Some people, especially black people, think she's a self-hating black girl who loves putting on contacts and dying her hair blonde.

But she has told people so many times that these are her natural features, and that gets them shocked all the time. Some have even gone as far as to say that she's an alien and she can't be of this world.

When people look at Elena, they see a model, a celebrity; she doesn't just have the looks for it, but the character, a wild, extroverted, social girl with the heart of gold, just like the colour of her hair and skin.

But this girl gets into trouble a lot, and she wanted to minimise the trouble she got into now that the Smiths have adopted her after going from foster home to foster home, but she guesses that's not the case right now, and she's probably going to be sent back to the foster care system.

She steps into the house slowly, and she looks around. She still thinks it's strange they would leave the door open at this time of night. She's only lived with them for five days, but she's already figured them out. They're careful, well-put together. A gentle white couple who believe in second chances.

Things are quiet, too quiet, and that's beginning to scare her a bit.

"Hello," she says, but she gets no reply. Did they get kidnapped? Have they been robbed, and they're at the police station right now? She doesn't know all, but what she knows is that this isn't normal. And she wants to know what is happening.

"Hello," she says again. "Is anyone home? Look, I'm sorry I snuck out, okay, I just wanted to rebel one last time. I wasn't planning on doing it again, I promise." and she's telling the truth, yes, she's rebelled a lot in the past, but that's because she hated being in the foster care system, but now she's adopted, and she doesn't want to let them down because they see potential in her.

Maybe this one mistake she's made has cost her forever, and she's going back to the foster care system. The thought of that makes her blood curl. She doesn't want that, she's not going to be doing all that anymore, she promises.

She finally finds them on the floor, and now she knows why they're not replying. They're dead.

She stands there frozen, looking at their lifeless bodies. Their white skin is stained with the colour red, and the most bizarre part is that people are drinking their blood like a bunch of vampires.

What is this? She says to herself, moving backwards.

She accidentally hits the vase behind her, and the vampires look up at her at once. Their eyes are so viciously red that it's too wild to even look at.

"Well, we finally found her, guys." One of them stands up, his face stained with blood, his eyes bloody red, he has razor-sharp teeth, he's extremely tall, and he wears all black; he's engulfed in the gothic aesthetic.

She cannot believe what she's seeing; vampires are real. She has heard about urban legends that vampires used to live on this planet, but they got sucked into another world. She thought it was just a myth; there are vampires in the living room, and they killed her adopted parents.

The vampire walks toward her, and she stands still, breathing in and out in fear.

He does dress well. She thinks. But he's creepy as hell!

The vampire breathes in and out.

"Do you smell that, guys?" he asks with a grin on his lips. "This fairy's blood smells even better than the other fairies back home."

Elena furrows her brows.

"What? Did you just call me a fairy?" she says, and the vampire looks back at his friends, and he laughs.

"She doesn't know who she is," they all laugh with him, and then he turns back to her.

"We thought you died, princess, the whole world thought you died. But here you are, looking at me, smelling so good." This time, he's an inch closer, and he grabs a lock of Elena's hair, and he sniffs it. Elena continues to shake. She's both scared and confused at the same time.

Why the hell are they calling her a fairy? She's not a fairy; fairies don't exist.

But then, a few minutes ago, she didn't think vampires existed either, but here they are standing right in front of her, and they just killed her parents.

"Your blood is going to make us powerful forever," he whispers into her ear, which sends a chill down her spine.

She shivers, but she has to remember that she has been able to fend for herself for a very long time. She taught herself self-defence, how to attack a man who threatens her safety. She sure does hope that this vampire has a penis because she hits him and he explodes with a moan, holding on to his hurt balls.

Elena picks up and makes a run for it, headed for the door, but she stops in her tracks when the vampire she kicked stands in front of her in the speed of light.

"Huh?" Elena says, confused about how he is that fast.

"Where are you going, princess?" he asks before slapping her across the face, which makes her fly until she crashes into a glass table, which pierces her skin. She's hurt, she feels weak, but she doesn't stay down for long; there are cuts on her hands, but no way is this going to bring her down. So she stands up.

She winces at the pain; she's not going to let these vampires overpower her. She feels the adrenaline rush; she's ready to fight back, but she gets held on the neck by the vampire she kicked.

The vampire grins, showing his large fangs. Elena used to love vampires; she was even team Edward, but now not anymore.

"Ah." his tongue moves across his fangs. "You look even juicier with these injuries, princess."

Elena struggles to escape, but the vampire is too strong because, of course, he is. He brings Elena closer, opens his mouth and sinks into her neck. Elena screams, crying in excruciating pain as the vampire drinks from her.

She has never felt anything like this before. At least she thought that if a vampire were to bite into her, it would be to turn her into a vampire, not kill her. But this is it, this is how she dies.

The vampire stops sucking, and he lets out a groan. The vampire releases Elena and he looks down. A weak Elena with blood on her neck looks down as well, and there's a golden sword right through the vampire's chest. The vampire begins to turn to ashes, like he's being engulfed by flames until he disappears.

Elena and the other vampires look to see who did that.

There's a super hot boy standing by the door who looks murderous and is about to fuck things up.
