Witches? How the hell did they find me here?
Elena is scared because the same creatures who killed her parents are here to kill her. Maybe this is how she dies. Well, at least it's way better than being killed by vampires.
These witches are dressed in dark gothic attire, dark eyeshadow, and they have dark purple hair. They look wicked.
There are three of them. Two tall guys are behind a petite girl, and she might be petite, but Elena fears her the most. There's a reason she's all front and centre. She's the leader.
"Wow, so it is true, the princess with the power of the shining sun is alive." The girl says, walking forward. "The whole world thought you died. Imagine our shock when your uncle announced that you've been breathing these sixteen year," she tuts. "He really shouldn't have done that if he wanted you to be alive."
"Stay back." Perri growls, and he stands in front of Elena.
"Move out of our way, dog," with a wave of her hand, Perri flies toward the wall, and he stays there. He tries his best to escape, but it's no use. It's like he's stuck. He is stuck.
"What the hell? Put him down right now!"
"She just arrived, and she's already barking orders at us. The girl jokes, and her friends laugh.
"Don't worry, princess, we aren't going to do anything to your werewolf boyfriend. We're here for your power."
This makes Elena's heart jump. They can't have her power; from what she's gathered, her power is a part of her, it's her life force. If she allows these snakes get to her, she'll die. She has to do something; she thinks this is the time for her powers to manifest.
Okay, I can do this.
She clenches her fist.
Elena can feel the power; it's all coming to her, she can feel it surging out. She's ready to create chaos. She's ready to fight back.
Her eyes glow, and the witch and wizards look horrified.
They should be. Elena thinks.
"Take that, witches!" Elena throws her hands in the air. The witch and the wizards cower in fear, but they see no use because nothing happens.
The only thing that seems to have come out of her is a tiny sunlight that disappears before it has the chance to touch them.
When they see what didn't happen, they burst into laughter. Elena is embarrassed. She was so sure she had it in the bag. What the hell happened? Why didn't it work? She asks herself.
What did she do last time?
"That was quite a show." The witch laughs louder, and it annoys Elena even more. The witch stops laughing, wipes a tear from her eye and then casts a spell on Elena, making her stuck. She's in this dark purple circle, and she's tried moving her legs, but nothing works.
"What the hell?" she says, trying to escape the circle, but nothing works. It's like she's glued to the ground like Perri. "Let me go!"
"No! We're here for your power princess."
"Let her go!"
"Shut up, dog!" The witch says. Then she looks at the princess with a smile on her face. "Ugh, I cannot wait for us to have your power. We will be the most talked about witches in our coven."
And then something hits Elena. What was once fear is replaced with that of pity.
She then starts laughing. The smile on their faces disappears.
"What the hell are you laughing about?" the witch asks.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just didn't realise that you three were losers and you need my power to prove that you're not," she laughs even louder. And Perri is smiling, proud of her.
The Gods chose the right person to hold the shining sun, he thinks.
"Shut up."
"It's kinda pathetic, really."
She scoffs. "You think that's pathetic. Wait until you're rotting with your parents under the ground."
Elena's smile disappears from her face, and she faces the witch with so much anger.
"Oh, not so funny now, is it?"
"Screw you!"
"Whatever. Let's do this, brothers, before his kind comes and disrupts our plans," she gestures at Perri, who still struggles to get down. But it's no use.
The trio move backward and they begin the spell. Their eyes go dark purple, and purple lightning moves around their hands.
They begin to chant their spells.
"You are going to regret laughing at us, princess," she says.
Elena's whole body jolts backwards.
Her face is forced to look up at the ceiling filled with stars. She feels her life leaving her body.
"NO!" Perri screams.
They're taking her powers, they're really taking her powers.
Perri cannot allow that to happen; he just brought her here. She can't die, no way.
Since going down from the wall isn't working, he tries another strategy. He looks down, and there's a dagger in his boot.
He tries his best to move his hand, but it's hard, too hard. He groans while doing so because it's painful. It's like his skin is tearing up. He doesn't care at this point; he'll heal after. He's not going to fail. No way.
He manages to touch his dagger. And he brings it up. When he does, he uses his strength, despite being in pain, to throw it at one of the wizards. It lands in his neck, and he stops chanting, and he falls to the ground. The spell is broken. Elena's powers go back to her.
She falls to the ground, and so does Perri. Perri quickly gets up and runs straight to Elena.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, yes. Thanks." Elena says, getting up. Then she sees the witch consoling one of her brothers, who has a bloody neck; he's not moving.
"You bitch!" she screams, and she and her brother look at Elena and Perri angrily.
"I'm the bitch?" Elena says. "Perri, you might want to close your eyes."
Perri looks at her, confused, but he does exactly what she says. He closes his eyes.
"Fuck you!" the witch runs toward Elena, and light comes from Elena's hands, hitting their eyes. They scream in pain. They're yelling about how they can't see.
Elena has blinded them.
Elena looks at her palms, and she smiles. She doesn't really know how she did that, but she did it; she finally defended herself.
The door to the train opens up, and in come people with silver hair wearing all black.
Werewolves.
They bow before Elena before cuffing the witches.
"You witches are under arrest for attempting to murder the princess."
"NO!" The witch screams at the top of her lungs.
"Hey, at least you'll be famous for something." Elena taunts.
"Fuck youuuuu!" she screams as they take her away. Perri and Elena laugh.
"Wow, that was something." A tall, handsome, dark-skinned man with a silver beard, short hair and pointy ears says. He's dressed like a boss in his tight black shirt, cargo pants, boots and a black coat.
Elena is shocked because this man is hot; all werewolves are hot, it seems.
"General," Perri says, placing his right hand on his chest as his feet meet each other, closing the space in between them.
Maybe that's how they greet each other.
"Well done, Perrilion, you did great," he says to Perri, then looks at Elena.
"Princess Elena," he bows.
Elena is really not going to get used to that.
"I am General Carli Manastro. The commissioner of the KDSC. Knight Department of Sun City."
"Nice to meet you."
"Likewise. We came as soon as Wriggly reported those witches to us."
"Oh no, is he okay?"
"Yep." Wriggly comes out of a room, removing the rope the witches tied him with. "Screw those creatures, they're so rude."
Elena lets out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, they're the only ones who are rude," Perri says under his breath. Elena nudges him. And the Commissioner giggles.
"Come, princess, we'll take you to your family." he walks forward, and Elena follows him. She waves Wriggly goodbye.
"Bye, Wriggly. Till we meet again, cute fella."
"Goodbye, prince-I mean, Elena." he waves while blushing. You can literally see the pink on his face.
Wow. So pretty.
The minute she gets outside, there's a limo that also looks like a carriage waiting for her.
The front half is a sleek white luxury sedan with a polished chrome grille, glowing headlights, and gold-accented rims. It looks modern, elegant and powerful - like something you'd see pulling up to a high-profile gala.
The back half, however, transforms into a fairytale carriage. It's rounded and ornate, covered in intricate gold filigree designs with delicate scrollwork. The carriage cabin has large oval windows framed with gold, soft cream curtains draped inside, and warm lantern-style lights glowing both inside and outside. The roof is crowned with an elaborate golden crest, almost royal-looking.
Elena has never seen anything like it before.
There are people screaming in excitement.
"Welcome back, Elena!"
Loads of fairies are out to welcome her back.
She feels like a celebrity right now.
So many people like her.
She waves at all of them.
"Hi. Hello."
"She's so beautiful."
And of course, she gets that a lot, but hearing it from fairies makes her even more special.
They open the door for her, and she gets in the vehicle. At first, she thinks Perri won't follow her, but he gets in as well. She beams when she sees him.
"You're coming with."
"Yes, I am. I promised my dad to bring you home safely," he says, then throws a wink at her.
She smiles and then looks out the window.
