Dayal walked away from the Spirit Temple. Behind him, the other teenagers were laughing. "Bronze Grade? Dayal, you can only make horseshoes for us!" they mocked.
Dayal did not say a word. He went straight back to his father's old workshop. In his ears, the system's mechanical voice was still ringing.
[Notification: First Quest in progress. Time remaining: 24 hours.]
"I need to craft a 'Bronze Fang Dagger'," Dayal thought. But there was a problem. He only had some old pieces of scrap brass and copper in the corner.
He touched the metal pieces with his hand. Suddenly, a system window appeared before his eyes:
Material Identified: Common Brass (Low Quality).
System Suggestion: Use skill [Divine Casting] to purify the metal.
Energy Cost: 5 Spirit Points.
Dayal took a deep breath. He focused all his energy into his hands. Suddenly, a bright golden glow came from his palms. The ordinary brass began to melt and turned into a strange, glowing reddish-brown metal.
[Success! You have purified 'Common Brass' into 'Spirit-Grade Bronze'.]
[Experience Gained: +5 XP]
Dayal was shocked. The metal was no longer ordinary. It was pulsing with power. He picked up his heavy hammer.
Tang! Tang! Tang!
With every strike, Dayal felt his strength growing. The system guided him perfectly—where to hit and how much heat to use. After hours of hard work, a sharp, curved dagger was formed. It looked like the tooth of a wolf.
Suddenly, a loud sound came from the system:
[Ding! Quest Completed!]
[Item Created: Bronze Fang Dagger (Grade: Rare)]
[Attributes: Attack +15, Bleeding Effect: 5% chance.]
[Rewards Distributed:]
Level Up! (Level 1 -> Level 2)
Strength: +10
Agility: +5
New Skill Unlocked: [Eye of the Craftsman] – Ability to see flaws in any weapon.
Dayal felt a new power flowing through his body. His muscles became stronger. He swung the dagger, and it was so sharp it made a whistling sound in the air.
"No one will look down on me now," Dayal whispered. "With this bronze, I will build my empire."
Just then, there was a loud noise at the workshop door. It was the Village Head's son, the one who insulted Dayal this morning. He was holding a broken iron sword.
"Dayal! I heard you made something," he said with a mean smile. "Let's see if your bronze toy is actually strong!"
