Chapter 3 - Chapter 1:Meeting people on the subway.

The alarm from my phone sounded just like the bell that signaled a funeral.

Yesterday was a pretty exhausting day, having to deal with Auntie Bbal's excitement and then her panicking after hearing about my employment. Actually almost everyone was panicking for some reason.

Humph, I am not made out of glass you know? I even go to the gym regularly!

I let out a loud exhale as I stand in front of the double doors leading to the room for the new employee orientation as what Papa told me yesterday came to mind.

'Now remember, you cannot let anyone know that you got in through nepotism.'

'But that Is how I got in though?'

'Doesn't matter, just don't let them know. You know how your mother is.'

I am pretty sure that he said 'a total bitch' under his breath but I decided to ignore that.

Alright Soleum, you can do this!

I opened the doors wide with a slight bang and then slowly walked in.

[POV switch to: ???]

Fuck me this is boring.

The only reason why I even decided to come here is to try and make some connections with the seniors that would visit but why is it that there are only new hires here?

I mean, I know that this is an orientation for the new employees but shouldn't there be at least a few curious senio-

BANG!

After a completely intentional pause in movements I snapped my head back to look at the bastard that decided to sc- surprise me like that.

The one that walked in was someone that looked around the same age as me but comparing myself to him felt like I was comparing coal to a highly polished blood diamond.

He was tall enough that I would have to slightly raise my head in order to meet his eyes, which were a deep black with red accents, like ink mixed with blood.

While the extremely expensive and well tailored suit hid his build very well, I could still see by the way that the fabric clung to his body that he was pretty muscular while still retaining a lean body. Maybe calisthenics?

His face was completely expressionless and the moment I saw him enter, after just a few short and completely objective glances, I looked over to see if anyone else knew who he was.

My first thought was that he an elite, senior employee that came to see who the new hires were, perhaps a manager, but after seeing how the person in charge of talking to the new hires visibly flinched once he saw him, I quickly discarded that thought.

A small smirk appeared on my face as I licked my lips.

'A third-generation chaebol? Jackpot.'

I quickly got to my feet and was about to bow when the Chaebol just decided to sit in my chair.

"Thank you for the seat."

I could feel a vein throb on my forehead as I did my utmost to not curse him and his ancestors.

"N-no problem sir, my name is Baek Saheon and I am a new employee here."

I slightly bowed my head and extended my hand forwards in order to shake his hand.

The hand that met his was unexpectedly smooth and nice to the touch, almost like velvet.

"My name is Kim Soleum, I am a fellow new-hire, I hope that we will both have an easy and productive time here."

Huh?

The fuck?

"A...fellow new-hire?"

"? Yes, I am a fellow new-hire. Why else would I be at the new employee orientation?"

He had a tone like he genuinely could not understand why I was asking that even though his facial expression was completely neutral.

Seriously does this guy have a permanent poker face or something?

After cursing slightly under my breath I just decided to go search for a new seat.

[POV swich: Kim Soleum]

As I watched the pretty cute guy walk away I quietly murmured under my breath.

"He seems pretty stupid, I should make sure to take care of him."

After a small nod at my noble thought I decided to introduce myself to the people besides me and then listen to what this orientation will be about.
