Chapter: "Target: Jay"
Jay should have known something was wrong the moment she stepped into Section E and it went silent.
Not normal silent.
Suspicious silent.
Cin was biting his lips. Felix was looking at the ceiling like it held the secrets of the universe. David was shaking. Emman had already turned his chair around dramatically. Even Rory and Wrdix were staring like they were about to watch a live show.
Jay narrowed her eyes.
"Why are you all looking at me like I robbed a bank?"
Felix clapped slowly. "No bank robbery today. Just… emotional robbery."
"Of what?" Jay crossed her arms.
Cin suddenly stood up and dramatically pointed at her.
"YOU STOLE MY BESTFRIEND."
Jay blinked. "What?"
Cin marched toward her like an angry 5-year-old. "Keifer doesn't sit with me anymore! He waits for you! He walks with you! Yesterday he even shared his chips with you!"
The whole class gasped like Cin had just revealed a betrayal of the century.
Jay looked confused. "He shared chips? That's illegal?"
David wiped fake tears. "Cin is heartbroken. He trusted you."
"TRUSTED YOU!" Felix repeated dramatically.
Jay rolled her eyes. "Oh please. Since when did Keifer belong to you?"
Cin grabbed Yuri's arm. "See? She's shameless."
Yuri nodded seriously. "This is emotional damage."
Mayo added, "We should file a complaint."
Blaster banged the desk. "Section E court is now in session!"
Calix stood up like a lawyer. "Miss Jay, how do you plead? Guilty of stealing Keifer's attention?"
Jay smirked. "Not guilty. He came on his own. I didn't kidnap him."
Felix leaned toward Keifer, who was pretending not to care but clearly enjoying this.
"Sir, do you confirm you willingly abandoned Cin?"
Keifer shrugged. "I upgraded."
The class exploded.
Cin clutched his chest dramatically. "UPGRADED?! AM I A MOBILE PLAN?"
Jay burst out laughing.
Eren whispered loudly, "They fight like a married couple."
Emman added, "No, worse. Like newlyweds."
Jay turned red. "SHUT UP."
Felix grinned. "Look at her blushing."
"I am NOT blushing!"
"Proof?" David teased.
Jay grabbed a notebook and lightly smacked him. "You want proof?"
Rory leaned back. "Section E has officially adopted Jay as our daily entertainment."
Wrdix nodded. "She fits perfectly."
Cin crossed his arms. "Fine. From today, I'm your elder brother."
Jay stared at him. "You? Elder?"
"Yes. And as your brother, I disapprove of Keifer."
Keifer finally spoke, leaning back lazily. "Nobody asked you."
Cin gasped. "She changed you."
Felix whispered dramatically, "Love changes people."
Jay threw her bag at him. "SHUT UP, FELIX!"
The bell rang but nobody moved. They were too busy laughing.
As Jay sat down, still grumbling, she muttered, "You all are insane."
Keifer leaned closer just enough for her to hear.
"Maybe. But you make it worse."
She glanced at him. "Excuse me?"
He smirked. "You like the attention."
She looked away quickly. "In your dreams."
Behind them, the teasing started again.
"WIFEY!" Felix shouted.
"HUSBAND!" David added.
Jay buried her face in her hands.
"Why is this my life…"
And Section E?
They were already planning tomorrow's teasing session.
