I'm not gonna lie I think this is the best pokemon battle I've ever done, I felt so pumped writing this and this is only the initial spark of future battles where Multiple cores come into play (for you anime nerds yes something similar to domain expansions where you can over power or control someone else cores. The battle on who is superior and Yes Apex pokemon like this Mammalswine have their own cores [rarely tho] Especially legendary Pokemon in the future. )
But ENJOYYYYY!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The freefall ended not with an impact, but with a bone-shattering deceleration as the team slammed into the floor of the Third Layer: The Core of Absolute Zero.
The environment was a physical weight. The air was -150°C, a temperature so low that oxygen began to liquify against the cavern walls. In the center of this frozen void stood the Gate Guardian, a relic from a prehistoric era preserved by the B-Rank rift.
Pokémon: Ancient Mamoswine (Gate Overlord) Level: 65 (Elite 4 Tier) Potential: Purple Ability: Thick Fat (Reduces Fire/Ice damage by 50%) Current Field: Alpha Blizzard (Non-negotiable Hail; ignores all standard weather overrides).
Zeth's skin began to crack. His lungs burned. "He's at the Level 60 threshold," Zeth gasped, his Aura flaring in a desperate green bubble around him. "The 'Barrier' is real. Standard moves won't even scratch his hide."
Beside him, Croagunk and Cloyster moved into a tight guard formation, their bodies shivering as they focused entirely on keeping the sub-zero wind from reaching Zeth's heart.
In the high-tier circles of the League and the Elite 4, a "Battlefield Core" is the ultimate expression of a trainer's tactical soul. It isn't just a weather move; it is the forced synchronization of multiple Pokémon's energies to overwrite the laws of physics in a localized area. While a single Sunny Day changes the weather, a Core changes the reality of the battlefield.
Zeth looked at his five heavy hitters. "If we fight him one-on-one, we die. We have to ignite the sky."
Zeth didn't rely on just his primary fire-types. He utilized the diverse elemental pools of his heavy hitters to create a localized thermal net that the Mamoswine couldn't breach.
Houndoom (Lvl 48) & Armarouge (Lvl 37): They acted as the Igniters. Using their Flash Fire affinity, they cast the primary Sunny Day, creating the initial spark of orange-white heat in the center of the blizzard.
Charizard (Lvl 58): The Amplifier. Its Solar Power didn't just cast the move; it acted as a gravitational lens, pulling the solar energy from the Gate's upper atmospheric layers and crushing it into a dense, silver-violet sphere of Lunar Flame heat.
Ceruledge (Lvl 40): The Conduit. It plunged its blades into the ice, casting a Sunny Day that traveled through the ground shadows. The heat didn't rise; it radiated from the floor, preventing the Mamoswine's Ice Burn from grounding the team.
Shelgon (Lvl 54): The Vortex. Leveraging its Overcoat to ignore the hail, it stood closest to the Mamoswine. It used its own Sunny Day to create a thermal high-pressure zone, spinning the heat into a cyclone that forced the Alpha Blizzard outward.
Rhydon (Lvl 50): The Anchor. By slamming its tail and casting its own Sunny Day, the heat was infused into the very minerals of the cavern. The rock began to glow a dull, volcanic red, turning the battlefield from an ice rink into a forge.
The overlapping layers of Sunny Day created a geometric multiplier.
Environmental Calculation: > * Standard Sunny Day: 1.5x Fire Boost / 0.5x Water Nerf.
Six-Point Alignment: 4.5x Thermal Intensity.
Result: The Alpha Blizzard is no longer falling as hail; it is flash-evaporating into a high-pressure Super-Heated Steam (100°C+), creating a permanent "White-Out" that blinds the Mamoswine's physical senses while fueling Zeth's fire-types.
"The field is set," Zeth whispered, his Aura stabilizing as the heat returned to his limbs. "The sun isn't just in the sky anymore. It's in the room with us."
The Ancient Mamoswine let out a confused, guttural trumpeting. Its Thick Fat was designed to insulate against cold and resist fire, but it wasn't prepared for the ambient air itself becoming a weapon. The steam was peeling the prehistoric frost from its tusks.
"Now," Zeth's eyes snapped open, glowing with a fierce emerald light. "Enter Phase 2. Collapse the Solar Eclipse!"
The cavern was no longer a frozen tomb; it had become a high-pressure boiler. The Ancient Mamoswine (Lvl 65) let out a roar of primal fury, its Alpha Blizzard failing to solidify. The six-point solar alignment had created a thermal cage that was physically crushing the prehistoric beast's environment.
"The steam is just the medium," Zeth grunted, his Aura veins pulsing visibly against his temples. "The energy is the weapon. Phase 2: Total Compression!"
Unlike a standard weather effect, the Desolate Solar Eclipse moved into its secondary state. The six Sunny Day sources didn't just radiate; they began to draw inward toward the Mamoswine, centering on the Lunar Charizard and the two Knights.
CORE CALCULATION: THE SINGULARITY
Participants: Charizard, Shelgon, Rhydon, Houndoom, Ceruledge, Armarouge.
Energy State: White-Hole Resonance.
Environmental Effect: Gravity within the Core increases by 2.0x due to thermal density. The Mamoswine's Speed is halved.
"Armarouge, Psychic—Solar Lens! Ceruledge, Shadow Sneak—Flame Entry!"
Armarouge (Lvl 37) didn't fire an attack. It used its Solid Gold psychic potential to create a magnifying lens of pure force in front of the Mamoswine. At the same time, Ceruledge (Lvl 40) dissolved into the shadow cast by the blinding solar light.
Ceruledge emerged from the Mamoswine's own shadow, its blades glowing with a white-hot Bitter Blade.
As it struck, it passed through Armarouge's Psychic Lens, which focused the ambient solar heat of the room into the blade's tip.
A single vertical gash appeared on the Mamoswine's flank. The wound didn't bleed; it cauterized instantly, the heat bypassing Thick Fat by vibrating at the same frequency as the Core.
The Mamoswine realized its passive defenses were failing. It slammed its massive tusks into the glowing-red earth created by Rhydon.
Move: Ancient Power + Earthquake (Combined Mastery) Effect: The Mamoswine attempted to shatter the Rhydon's tectonic anchor, sending pillars of prehistoric rock infused with ice-energy upward to impale the team.
"Rhydon, Megahorn—Earth-Eater! Shelgon, Zen Headbutt—Atmospheric Lock!"
The Deep Purple Rhydon (Lvl 50) didn't dodge. It met the rising pillars head-on, its horn glowing with a brutal, violet energy. It shattered the stone before it could reach Zeth.
Shelgon (Lvl 54) lunged from the air. Its Gold-tier shell, protected by Overcoat, acted as a physical hammer. It slammed into the Mamoswine's forehead, the impact creating a shockwave that cleared the steam for a fraction of a second.
"Houndoom, Dark Pulse—The Black Sun! Charizard, Lunar Flame—The Eclipse!"
This was the climax of the Core. Houndoom (Lvl 48) fired a Dark Pulse upward into the center of the solar spheres. The darkness acted as a "containment field," wrapping the fire in a graviton shell. Charizard (Lvl 58) then dived through that shell, its Solar Power and Lunar Flame merging into a single, terrifying beam of gold-black plasma.
SYSTEM CALCULATION: FINAL BLOW
Move: Lunar Solar Collapse (Core-Variant of Blast Burn).
Accuracy: Guaranteed (Locked by Armarouge's Psychic).
Power: [Base 150] x [Core Multiplier 4.5] x [Lunar Infusion 1.5] = Overwhelming.
The beam hit the Mamoswine's chest. For a moment, there was no sound—only a blinding, silent expansion of white light. The Thick Fat ability was incinerated. The Alpha Blizzard was deleted from existence.
The silence that followed was heavy, pressurized, and deafening. The golden-black plasma of the Lunar Solar Collapse dissipated, leaving the air smelling of ozone and scorched earth. The Ancient Mamoswine (Lvl 65) did not dissolve into data or pixels. It was a creature of flesh and ancient blood, and it died as one.
The massive beast stood for a final, agonizing heartbeat, its thick, prehistoric hide glowing a dull, molten red where the solar beams had pierced its vital core. Then, with a sound like a falling mountain, it crashed into the glassed floor of the cavern. Its tusks, once symbols of an unbreakable era, lay shattered beside it.
There was no "data-stream." There was only the heavy, rhythmic thrum of the Gate's dying energy and the cooling corpse of a titan that had lived for millennia.
Zeth's Aura didn't just flicker; it buckled. Maintaining a Battlefield Core was like trying to hold a star in a silk net. He collapsed to one knee, blood dripping from his nose onto the steaming ice.
"Return..." he wheezed, his voice barely a rasp.
One by one, the red beams of the Pokéballs reclaimed his team. They didn't return with the triumphant cry of a standard battle; they returned with the heavy, labored breathing of warriors who had pushed past their biological limits.
In the center of the crater left by the Mamoswine's fall, the Perfection-Quality Water Stone didn't float in a UI window. It sat embedded in the cracked earth, a physical hunk of crystalline oceanic energy the size of a human heart. It pulsed with a deep, rhythmic blue light—a heartbeat that seemed to steady the crumbling walls of the B-Rank Gate.
Around the Mamoswine's body lay physical shards of Ice-Energy Crystals and Ancient Bone Fragments—items that were far more valuable than any market-bought TMs. These were the biological "Potential Shards" that Zeth's system translated into growth.
Zeth crawled toward the Stone, his fingers numb. He didn't just pick it up; he felt the cold, stabilizing power of the Perfection tier seep into his skin, dulling the pain of his Aura-burn.
"Zeth!"
Kael scrambled down the debris pile, his Floatzel looking at the dead Overlord with genuine terror. "You actually... you killed a Level 65 Overlord. You didn't just beat it. You erased its environment. That Core... that was 'illegal' levels of power, kid."
"It's not illegal if there are no witnesses," Zeth muttered, clutching the Water Stone to his chest.
The Gate let out a final, agonizing groan. Without the Mamoswine's presence to anchor the spatial rift, the Third Layer began to fold in on itself. The obsidian mirrors from the floor above started to rain down like glass guillotines.
"We have to go!" Kael shouted, grabbing Zeth's arm. "The rift is closing! If we're still here when it snaps, we're scattered across the dimensions!"
Zeth looked at the Perfection Water Stone, then at his belt where Cloyster (Lvl 48) sat. He could feel the Stone's resonance calling out to the Deep Purple bivalve. The urge to use it now—to trigger a Tier-Jump that could blast them out of the collapsing Gate—was overwhelming.
[Current Choice:]
Immediate Evolution: Use the Perfection Water Stone on Cloyster now. The energy release might stabilize a path out, but the risk of a biological "Reboot" mid-collapse is High.
Tactical Retreat: Save the Stone for a controlled environment and rely on Charizard's remaining strength to fly out of the collapsing rift.
