Chapter 122 - 122

[Prompt: You have claimed the first-place reward from the honor ranking!]

[Prompt: You have received 10,000 prestige points! 10,000 kings medals! 1 World BOSS Challenge Ticket!]

[Prompt: You have triggered a 10,000× Critical Hit effect!]

[Prompt: You have received 100 million prestige points! 100 million kings medals! 10,000 World BOSS Challenge Tickets!]

Lin Bei's face lit up—he had actually triggered a 10,000× Critical Hit!

Talk about lucky!

But before he could check his haul, another sweet system chime rang in his ears.

[Prompt: You have claimed the first-place reward from the Speed Ranking!]

[Prompt: You have received 1,000 prestige points! 1,000 kings medals! 10 shadow crystals!]

[Prompt: You have triggered a 10,000× Critical Hit effect!]

[Prompt: You have received 10 million prestige points! 10 million kings medals! 100,000 shadow crystals!]

"Another 10,000× crit!"

Lin Bei drew a deep breath, excitement bubbling inside.

He glanced at his prestige balance—over 110 million now. Still far from the 10 billion needed for a Legendary item, yet… he could see the light at the end of the tunnel.

"There are thirty-six main cities in the King-Level Dungeon World."

"If I grab first place on both the Honor and Speed rankings in every city, I can collect seventy-two ranking rewards every ten days."

"Stack that with my Super Lucky State, and each round should net me a ton of prestige!"

"Even if I'm cursed and only ever hit the minimum 2,000× crit, every city would still hand me 22 million prestige."

"That's roughly 800 million per full round!"

"At that pace, even with terrible luck, twelve rounds tops and I'll afford that Legendary item in the Spiritual Old Man's prestige shop!"

"And each round is just one day in the Survival World."

"Twelve rounds—barely twelve days, gone in the blink of an eye!"

Determination flashed in Lin Bei's eyes.

That Legendary item would be his—no matter what!

And if fortune truly favored him… he wouldn't even need twelve rounds to amass enough prestige.

"Besides prestige, there're plenty of other goodies!"

"With crits factored in, the haul is insane!"

"No wonder every major power sends members daily to storm the two rankings in the Black Mist Zone!"

"For ordinary Survivors, even without crits, 10,000 prestige or 10,000 kings medals is already irresistible!"

Lin Bei mused silently.

While he was lost in thought, a private message snapped him back.

"Great Lord! We've entered the Underworld! Where are you? We'll deliver the supply treasure chests right away!"

The instant Gale set foot in the Underworld, he messaged Bei Ming eagerly.

"Wait for me in the plaza—I'll be there in a sec."

Lin Bei replied and instantly activated Teleport, reappearing in Tianjian City's Central Plaza.

Nearby, the Wildwind Squad huddled together, whispering among themselves.

Gale said, "Alright, Great Lord told us to wait here—he'll arrive any moment."

Yīlù Zhǒu Hǎo nudged them, glancing at other Survivors. "Hey, did you hear? Great Lord single-handedly wiped out thousands from the Three Major Forces!"

Battle Tyrannosaurus laughed. "He's the Great Lord—of course he's overpowered!"

Vanilla Nemo nodded eagerly, eyes sparkling. "Exactly! And he invited us to join his Tianjian City force!"

Gale grinned. "We've hit the jackpot, team—work hard and our future's blazing bright!"

"Let's do this together!"

The squad shouted in unison, pumped and oblivious to the puzzled stares around them.

Ignoring the onlookers, they beamed, moods sky-high.

"Looks like everyone's in high Spirits."

Lin Bei walked up, smiling as he surveyed them. Without further ado, he flicked his wrist and activated his Super Bond talent, gifting the Wildwind Squad a "tiny" hundred-million Combat Power boost.

According to the description of his talent ability, he could at most raise a bonded person's Combat Power by 1% of his own.

Yet Lin Bei didn't go that far; he merely granted the Wildwind Squad members an increase of 0.01% of his own Combat Power.

Such a ratio seemed utterly trivial.

But right now Lin Bei's Combat Power was closing in on 80 billion; even a 0.01% boost meant 8 million points of Combat Power!

For the Wildwind Squad, whose peak Combat Power hadn't even reached a million, this was an absolutely staggering, terrifying leap.

"Great Lord! My Combat Power…""

"Shh—keep it down. Consider this a little gift from me."

The group was about to cry out in shock, but Lin Bei wrapped them in Spirit force, pressing every word back into their throats.

"Well? Surprised? Didn't see that coming?"

Once they'd quieted down, Lin Bei smiled and said, "Work hard from now on; boosts like that… won't be rare."

"It… it can actually be raised even further?!"

Gale's face was full of disbelief.

Moments ago, a torrent of vital energy and Spirit power had surged into his body, spiking his Combat Power by roughly eight million points in an instant!

And the Great Lord had called this terrifying increase a "tiny" reward?

Worse, from the way the man spoke, they… they could receive boosts like this again?

It… it was simply unthinkable!

The entire Wildwind Squad fell silent, gazes vacant, eyes brimming with shock.

"All right, collect yourselves. I'll take you to the garrison for registration."

Before they could recover, Lin Bei waved lightly; teleportation energy enveloped them and carried the Wildwind Squad members straight to the Sword·Extreme outpost outside the city.

This time he checked carefully and reached a conclusion.

Taking others along for a Teleport consumed ten times the blood-energy and Spirit he'd use traveling alone.

In other words, to jump between his current outpost and the Dark Forest, he alone would spend 100 points of blood-energy and Spirit; ferrying all four Wildwind Squad members would cost a total of 4,000 points.

Of course, that expenditure was still slower than his own recovery rate.

To him it remained a drop in the ocean.

Still, the finding made him more familiar with his Teleport ability.

From now on, he'd know exactly what to expect when he used it.

"Great Lord! You—you—you… you're my god!!!"

Battle Tyrannosaurus was stunned; when he finally reacted, his gaze at Lin Bei overflowed with worship and fervor!

Though the others said nothing, Lin Bei saw the exact same emotion in their eyes.

"Easy, easy."

Lin Bei pressed his palms downward, signaling for calm.

Then he called Zhang San and Ye Liangchen over and told them to handle the Wildwind Squad's paperwork.

Moments later, having joined Sword·Extreme, they followed Lin Bei in a daze to the prison.

"From now on, besides collecting supply treasure chests for me in the Survival World, your job is to watch the inmates here."

For details, ask Zhang San—he's the main person in charge of this area; ask him if anything's unclear."

In exchange, every week I'll hand out resources based on your performance to help you grow stronger."

With the power I've granted you, challenging the Dark Forest will be much easier; earning a spot on the rankings shouldn't be hard."

I only have one requirement: keep your heads down and do the work properly."

Rest assured—if your performance is good enough, I'll keep boosting your Combat Power just like before."

When he finished, Lin Bei looked at the Wildwind Squad and asked in a deep voice, "So—do you have the confidence?"

"Yes!"

The several of them answered in unison.

Their tone was resolute.

"Good. Put the supply treasure chests you've gathered on the ground, then head to the Dark Forest and claim your ranking rewards."

Lin Bei nodded with satisfaction, gave the order, and once they'd placed the chests on the ground he activated Teleport, sending the Wildwind Squad members to the stele outside the Dark Forest.

He himself then turned to the supply treasure chests, eyes full of anticipation.

"These chests are all from High-Level Survival Worlds; they ought to yield something incredible, right?"

He muttered, stepped forward, and opened a supply treasure chest.
